that’s it, that’s the title. i cried. damned hsy and her fucking heartbreaking story that just had to ruin me one last fucking time with that ending. kdy remembering everything the moment he saw hse and yjh? the way how everything up until then had been nothing but pain and it all became cathartic right at that moment? the way everyone all hugged each other in tears and practically ran off to the sunset, ready to finally all live in a big house with each other?
actually, screw all of the above, how about the fact that kim dokja was apparently so immersed that he ended up calling the wrong names again? and that it sounded even more emotional than the fixed broadcast version?
i cried. fucking hell. came in expecting a typical op mc story and ended up with my heart in pieces. i demand compensation from han sooyoung for putting me through this.
… still, that was definitely the best possible ending i could’ve hoped for.

i’m honestly glad that the executives have been choosing to show us important bloopers like this. because otherwise, we would never have known how kim dokja choked out han sooyoung and yoo joonghyuk’s names in that breathless, teary, yet joyful voice… as if those two weren’t fellow actors and this wasn’t a scene, but like they themselves were the ones kim dokja has been waiting for for so long.
this video is entering the list of ‘videos i rewatch a very normal amount of’ for sure… along with when kim dokja and yoo joonghyuk used the wrong names during filming of dark castle

Yeah, like, to be fair, it was a bit of an ass-pull (in my opinion only, don’t kill me T_T) that the Company members can all sustain their own existence just by also distributing their “stories”... but who cares?!

Rather, I’m more interested in supporting the other members who do want to pursue professional acting, such as Hyunsung-ssi or Yoobi-ah. But if Han Sooyoung ever wants to film some kind of sequel to ORV or anything and I get to be Jung Hyowon again, I’m in for it.” She ends her words with a grin and a thumbs up.

“I think it was cool how Kim Daeyoon immediately remembered everything once he saw everyone!! So I just can’t understand why Sooyoung-noona didn’t just end it earlier instead of dragging out his suffering.” Lee Gilyoung’s excited expression slowly turns into a dissatisfied pout.
“Hmph, that’s why you’re still a child!” Shin Yoosung crosses her arms haughtily, as if she’s not also a child herself. “It’s only thanks to so many sad moments that Kim Daeyoon’s reunion with everyone was even more satisfying! Like what they said about having cold cider after so much sweet potatoes!”
“Hah?!” Lee Gilyoung points a finger at his friend(?) indignantly. “Who was the one who kept crying to Yoobi-noona after Kim Daeyoon saw the past with Han Soo-eun?! And you complained to Yoo Mia so much that she got scared!! Who’s a child, huh?!”
“T-That was just a few times!! And what about you?! You also kept whining to Dokja-ahjussi!!”
“Y-You promised to stop bringing that up!!”
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with this series and everyone, brief as it was.” Shin Yoobi smiles in an easygoing manner as she places each of her hands over the children’s heads as they still continue bickering with each other. “It’s been an invaluable experience for my career. I’ll continue keeping in contact with everyone in the cast while working toward my acting future.”

“I really want Sooyoung-unnie to adapt some of the ‘side stories’ that the Company distributed to the other universes! Particularly mine!” Lee Jihye flushes a little as she speaks. “I told Sooyoung-unnie that the ‘Lee Jihae’ of the other worlds would be a very badass sword woman or at least a martial artist, so if I ever get to act her out like that…”
“Hah? Does that mean you want to do more acting from now on? Then, what about succeeding Captain’s legacy?” Kim Namwoon, who’s sitting surprisingly close next to her for someone whom she never gets along with, asks in confusion. “You were always talking about how much you wanted to inherit the ‘Supreme King’ title…”
“Well, that’s just in case Sooyoung-unnie goes through with making sequels! Otherwise, of course I’ll follow Master’s way. And it’s not like you can play any game decently without me there, anyway.”
It’s clear that Lee Jihye means for her words to come out haughty, but it seems to be lost on Kim Namwoon as the boy just widens his eyes at her, expression clearly relieved. “Well, that’s good! Being a pro-gamer isn’t fun without you.”
(The screen quietly fades as Lee Jihye sputters with flushed cheeks)

“I will not be acting anymore in the future, either, similar to Heewon-ssi and Sangah-ssi. I’m also not sure that I’ll be able to reprise my role even if Sooyoung-ssi invites me for a sequel in the future, because I’ve decided to completely focus on my medical career from now on.” Lee Seolhwa shakes her head apologetically, then looks straight at the camera with calm, beautiful crinkling eyes.
“However, I am very thankful to Uriel-nim for recruiting me, because being able to contribute to this series was the best thing that has ever happened in my life. It’s thanks to this occasion that I could reunite with some very, very old acquaintances.” She smiles mysteriously. “If you know, you know.”

“I would like to thank all the watchers for their support, Uriel-nim for choosing me, and all the main cast for the amazing time together.” Yoo Sangah tilts her head with a winning smile befitting an HR head. “This experience has inspired me to work in the film industry, although as the manager for Sooyoung-ssi instead of a full-time actress.
“We’ll continue working together to release more ‘side stories’ focusing on each character of Kim Daeyoon’s Company, giving you the anticipated information such as elaborating on their past, their motives, their life outside of being a Company member… and a sneak-peek into different versions of them in different worlds. Please look forward to it.” She ends with a wink, looking cheeky and infuriating at the same time for the fans who are dying to know just what those ‘side stories’ will be.

“This project livened my life up after my retirement from the gaming industry. I will keep working as a coach from now on, and reprise my role as Yoo Jaehyun if ‘Kim Daeyoon’ ever appears in the side stories. Thank you.” Yoo Joonghyuk’s part is significantly shorter than everyone else, although still surprisingly quite long for his personality.

“Ha! Don’t think that I don’t know you’re trying to pry side stories spoilers from me!” Han Sooyoung points in accusation at the camera, which immediately moves a bit farther away from embarrassment. She scoffs at that and crosses her arms. “When it’s there, it’s there! All I’ll say is that it will give each Company member more spotlight than in the original TWSA and ORV, because I’ve always wanted to give more insight on the others.
“Still, I don’t regret not doing it in TWSA or ORV themselves, because they are, first and foremost, Kim Daeyoon’s story.” Her eyes soften as they become colored with nostalgia. “A reader who considered an unpopular story his reason to live, and in turn, the story is only for that one reader. That’s why I want to thank all the cast, the novel fans, and the live-action fans for having supported this story and liking Kim Daeyoon as much as I do. It’s all thanks to you that his ‘story’ will keep on going, always.”

“I… don’t know what to say, sorry.” Kim Dokja scratches his cheek shyly in such a different manner from his usually cocky character. Then, he suddenly straightens himself up and speaks with a soft, sincere voice, as if speaking from his own heart. “What I do want to say, though… is that I’m really, really happy to have been a part of this project. I’m very grateful to everyone who has supported us. Thank you… for reading this story.”

“Kim Dokja, your part of the interview is the most viewed one of all the separate cuts. Isn’t it nice?” Yoo Joonghyuk, his bastard of a companion, smirks at Dokja’s flushed face while pointing at his phone screen.
“Well, yours is the second most popular one. As expected from the MC, you barely said anything and the fans loved it anyway.” Dokja quips back while pinching those insufferable cheeks in hope of wiping away the irritating smirk.
Easily getting out of his grip, Yoo Joonghyuk then grabs Dokja by the collar (somebody really has a fetish here) to make him lie down on the riverside grass field, where they have chosen as their date spot for that day. On top of being a nice, quiet and uncrowded place, Yoo Joonghyuk had even insisted that they go at night to watch the stars. The him of back then would never expect this man of all people to be such a romantic.
“Han Sooyoung is making me so curious, though. What kind of stuff is she going to expand on? Nowadays, aside from past backstory and motivating future goals, shipping is also a good topic to interest the fans…” Dokja feels a grin forming on his face. “Maybe she’ll give more spotlight to Kim Namjung and Lee Jihae? It’s a pretty popular pairing.”
“You’re surprisingly invested in Kim Namwoon. From what I remember, you didn’t like him that much ‘back then’.” Yoo Joonghyuk blinks at him in surprise.
“Not in the 1864th world line, no, because I was still too affected by my negative opinion of him from the novel… But here, he’s a surprisingly okay kid, if still too chuuni for his own good.” Dokja chuckles at how Yoo Joonghyuk snorts in agreement. “This world… really is so different from our world before.”
“Different, and in a good way. Because you’re actually here.”
Those beautiful jewels as though containing all the misfortunes in this world are staring at him so intensely that Dokja has to cough and try to change the topic from how embarrassed he is. “A-Anyway… Joonghyuk-ah, I never knew you were this much of a romantic. I mean, a grass field on a river bank, in the late night with all the stars shining above? Geez, can’t expect anything less from someone who once had a girlfriend, huh?”
Yoo Joonghyuk pinches his cheek unimpressed at the way Dokja digs up his past relationship, then pinches even harder. “Idiot. Doesn’t this remind you of anything?”
Dokja blinks in confusion at the bastard, wondering what the heck he’s supposed to answer here… before everything clicks. Yoo Joonghyuk, lying on a grass field at night…
“... Isn’t… Isn’t this just like the time you were dying in the 0th turn… and then I gave you my stigma…”
“... That time, you asked me a certain question, and seemed unable to believe my answer. Now, won’t you ask again?”
Stunned from astonishment, overwhelmed by so many feelings coming back all at once, Dokja finds his voice coming out breathless.
“Joonghyuk-ah… Are you happy?”
The sight of his beloved companion’s lips curling up in a gentle smile as those gorgeous dark eyes become wet with tears is something Dokja doesn’t think he will ever forget, not even when he reincarnates into another life and loses his memories again.
“... Yes.
“I’m happy… Dokja.”
