Chapter Text
“Felix?!” There he was sitting on a chair talking to hades about costume designs and having papers strewn around about my… wel Zeus’ exploits in catching criminals. “So when was I going to be informed?”
“When I figured out how to fake flying with my wings.” Felix raised an eyebrow and I then sighed and transformed. My hair turned stark white with yellow tips as it softly made the sound of well lightning as did the lightning symbol on my pants that matched my earrings.
Even my voice thrummed with the sound of thunder. “Follow me and you’ll see.” He rolled his eyes but followed me and watched me practice. When I landed while tucking in my wings he rolled his eyes. “Cool idea but you’re threatening right now.”
I nodded along “Which is why I made merch of my identity.” Felix stared at doll Foudre for a while. “The hair looks off.” “Well obviously this hair is lightning and I can’t replicate that on a doll.” Felix stared at me for a while before speaking up again. “How did you even make that doll?” “I didn’t.”
To my luck Athens returned with snacks in tow and in his mouth “I d’d.” Felix’s face was hilarious. “Okay how many of these magical accessories do you have!” “Including yours and the ones I’m wearing 14.”
The shocked silence I received said so much. “Why are you doing all this? You already have fame and while you aren’t as wealthy as me you’re comfortable.” “I uhm… it doesn’t make any sense and I don’t have any evidence to show you, but there’s something called Chinese miraculous. Gabriel and Emilie have two of them, but one of them is so broken it tends to destroy one or a pair of organs of the user. If Emilie dies Gabriel will do horrible things to Paris, but if I’m already well known as a hero I can help take him down.”
Felix squinted in my direction and then nodded “Hades said something similar.” “Huh?” “What? You thought I didn’t interview him about what he was and other beings like him, otherwise I would’ve been here much earlier.” Felix stared at me for a while before he turned back towards his sketches. I thought he was done with talking to me, but low behold.
“What kind of hero do you want to be? One that works with the government or a hero without government backing? The first one makes all of this easier, but we’ll also have to be monitored and answer to others their commands. If we take the second option-
“Wait! We? You’ll actually do this with me?” The face Felix pulled was full of annoyance. “Yes. If you’re planning to throw your life away, I’ll help. Now then back to us deciding what’s the best option.”
“I’ve wrestled with the idea for a while but I presumed I wouldn’t work with the government but at least have an amicable relationship. If we work for the government we’ll have to wait to be deployed.” Felix nodded and grabbed a piece of paper which he pushed in my direction. “Now then, this is the cringiest thing I’ve ever seen. Why would I ever wear this?”
I pouted as I stared at the design I made for Felix “it was a rough draft! I know it doesn’t look good, I was trying to make us match but… I couldn’t come up with anything good.” Felix rolled his eyes and started searching up stuff on the computer. “Good enough, I’ll just copy the idea of the clothes of this statue but make them modern.”
Felix closed his eyes mentally visualised and then said “Hades let the dead dance.” Unlike me Felix used an actual sentence to initiate his transformation.
“I’ll add a jacket so that we match in the finale design. But this is the second to last design.” I nodded while looking the outfit over. “The weirdest part is your extra heads. Can I look at whichever or only the front one.” All three laughed but the middle one answered “the other two are Cerberus. It’s why their eyes are a different colour.”
Cerberus laughed using both faces. As Felix rolled his eyes, Cerberus started to explain with his left head. “I can even communicate with the kwami’s by closing my eyes.” I nodded while Athens sat down on Cerberus’ left head “Though the ears and tail are very cute.”
Felix pushed me as he called forth the power. “Bestir!” Spirits gathered around Felix’ omnipurpose tool and then he aimed. All of my dummies were destroyed. I mean great a powerful attack. “No!! it takes so long for this building to make new ones!!” My cries were ignored by Felix.
“Spar with me, you took up fencing, right?”
“Yes but-“ my opposition was ignored as Felix found a sparring sword from Athens knows where and got into position. “Athens, be the referee.” Athens also ignored my complaints as he got into position. I grabbed my fencing gear and quickly got ready.
“En garde… prete… Allez!” With my training my speed and power had gone up but, it didn’t seem to effect Felix at all. He came at me just as hard and he quickly scored a point. I of course complained soft hardefly about not knowing which kind of fencing we were doing and blaming that on my foolishness but I digress.
In the end I won by one point, still it feels like he gave the last one to me. Felix waved goodbye and promised to visit some more. “I had dreams of us hanging out by ourselves like this and what I would say, but now the two of us are just black and blue.” I ignored Felix’ grumbling and just went back to flying practice.
