Summary
Star City sparkled beneath them. A few feet away, a violinist was playing something sweet and lilting that Alfred had liked. Jason was about to have triple-Michelin-starred steak with his best friend.
And if said best friend was still acting a bit strange, in a way that made the pit of Jason’s stomach go hot and confused, well, Jason had plenty of worse nights in his two short lives.

Summary
Jason doesn’t have a safehouse in the area and Dick hadn’t wanted to leave him to his own devices, certain that he’d get up to no good. Roy had rolled his eyes but offered to let Jason stay with him.
Dick hadn’t liked that idea at first, trying to warn Roy that Jason wasn’t the kid they’d known anymore. That he was unstable and dangerous.
Roy doesn’t fully buy that.He knows what Jason has done. He knows who he’s done it to. He’s not worried about Jason hurting anyone who doesn’t deserve it, especially when he’s going out of his way to help an innocent man get justice.
Roy remembers who Jason is, even if his whole family seems like they're too close to the issue to remember themselves. The person they think Jason is wouldn’t care what happened to Black Lightning or would find a way to capitalize on the information.

Summary
He refuses to think about the way his stomach flutters like butterflies when Roy calls him Jaybird or when he touches Jason, oh so casually. He refuses to think about the way he wants to be touched with purpose, as though Roy means something by it.
He does find himself thinking about Roy's red hair, his green eyes, and the way his biceps flex when he draws his bow.
He thinks about soulmates and the marks that bring them together. He’s never revealed his, an orchid on his inner thigh. He doesn't want to find his soulmate. His heart only beats for one person and that person is Roy Harper.
