Summary
The more he thinks about what is happening the less he can make sense of it. The image becomes clearer in his mind, uncle Wade’s persistent smile. The one he gave that consumed Peter’s evening plans whether he wanted it or not. All because Aunt May could not, after all these years, say no to her late husband’s brother. Not only did he casually decide the younger man’s plans for him but expects a meal before doing so.
And it was even more unfortunate that it was Peter’s turn to make dinner tonight.
