Summary

His sacrifice earns him a husband he despises, a loyal guard, and everlasting ties to the Wēn. But with it also comes something he had never expected: a secret child with Lán Zhàn. Now, in order to protect his child, family, and friends, he must sacrifice more while striving to reclaim some measure of control over his life.
Meanwhile, Lán Zhàn vows to do whatever it takes to give Wèi Yīng the life he desires, even if it means setting the rest of the world on fire.
