Summary: Solar Wind Saga was not supposed to be this good. A ripoff of two, maybe three popular science fiction franchises, two of them Anime, written by people who only had a basic idea of what they were ripping off, it should not have been successful enough to have a fandom, much less one large enough to include the one who after an encounter with a speeding car (not the usual truck!), was born as an original character whose very existence derails the life of the protagonist.
The original protagonist was a slave, who was adopted into a dying Military Family and eventually launched a rebellion to bring down the corrupt system, only to be undone by his origins, then the antagonist dismantled the corrupt system anyway, taking credit for the protagonist’s ideas while blackening his memory.
But now, you are born to that unfortunate family, House Thebai. As a natural-born son of the power-hungry Noble Iacobos Thebai, who now has little use for who would have been the original protagonist. On the one hand, you could do what he could not have. On the other hand… You just stole someone else’s destiny.
What will you do with that?

It’s Ilya's turn to watch Shane in action. He doesn’t care who sees his face, but he’s not the one in front of the camera right now so he lets himself lean into his folded arms against the arena fence, keeping his face warm in the cold Canada winter.
He’ll never get sick of watching this. The way Shane moves on the back of his horse is poetry in motion. It’s as beautiful as Shane is when he’s underneath him, all the walls and barriers toppled over and nothing but open prairie left.
The way Shane moves in the arena, it’s no wonder the crowd loves him. He is the shining jewel of rodeo, calm and calculated as if each twitch of his muscle is timed perfectly. While Ilya is brash and loud with his movements, Shane’s are so incandescently controlled. How anyone would want to change that in him, clearly does not understand the magic that comes from that man’s limbs.
