Sure, Kojiro had been heartbroken, had taken over a year to right himself again, get back into a routine, forget a time when he could wake up with a warm body in his arms that clung to him just as tightly. But, in the end, he knew Kaoru was right.
Because he’d seen him do the exact thing Kojiro was doing now.
Scrolling through old photos of him and Adam, sometimes the three of them but usually not, of stolen kisses and tight hugs and videos of them skating and falling and picking each other back up, their laughs echoing in the quiet room; only Kojiro heard it, Kaoru fast asleep in the crook of Kojiro’s arm as the video replayed, over and over like a broken record.
