Dream turned the sink off, drying his hands on a decorative towel hanging on the oven handle and scoffed, “I’m a cool dad.”Or Dream falls in love with the fluffy haired man that came to pick up his kids after soccer practice, and Dream notices he's missing a wedding ring.

“So, how was your day, handsome?” Karl was looking at him again, gaze fond as it rested on Dream.
“Pretty good, pretty good. I got that essay done and then I worked on a poem.”
“Oh!” Karl’s eyebrows flicked up in interest at the mention of a poem. Dream had been writing poems for a while now, and Karl loved to read them; he said it was like his own little peek into Dream’s mind. “How’s that going?”
“It’s going pretty well. I was almost done with it when you came in, I think.”
“Hell yeah, dude. I’m excited to see it.”
“Oh.” Dream blinked, feeling surprised for some reason. Of course Karl wanted to read his poem, why hadn’t he thought of that when he mentioned it? A hint of anxiety flickered through him at the notion, but he pushed it away. Karl had never judged any of his other poems, and this one would be no different. Even if it was about him. “Yeah, once I finish eating I’ll grab my notebook for you.”
(Or, Dream writes Karl a poem, and it forces him to think a little about his feelings for him.)

The last section of the album was the largest, the weight of the photos heavy on Karl’s fingers as he flipped the page. They drew a collective breath, hand on Karl’s waist squeezing. The foremost photos were taken back-to-back in separate in rooms; the first of a dapper blond, dressed in a fitted black suit, and the second, a smaller brunet glancing at the camera through the mirror.

Day 4: Enemies to Lovers
"Okay so you used to be a Librarian," Dream reiterated. "What's a Guardian?"
"Well," Bad began.
"Don't tell him," Karl yelled out. "I don't need a Guardian."
"The Guardian's job is to protect the Librarian," Bad explained, ignoring Karl's warning. "The brawns to the Librarian's brains, the common sense to all their impulsive actions. They're the Librarian's partner and bodyguard."
"You need a-" Dream was confused. "To work in a library?"
"The Library," Bad corrected. "When you work in a world with magic and monsters, evil cults and curses, well-"
"Librarians tend to die," Karl said. "A lot. Sometimes more than once."
"Karl's survived for a whole 10 years, most of it without a Guardian, the longest out of everyone," Bad said. "Well, except for me."
"And I can do it another 10 more, without a Guardian, thank you very much," Karl said.
When Dream got the saw the envelope slipped under his door, he never for once thought that he'd get a job working for a magical Library. It's an intriguing offer and he thought it might even be fun, if not for the eccentric Librarian who really didn't want him to take the job.

Day 7: Wedding Fic
“Karl Jacobs, will you do me the honor of being my husband?”
Dream’s world could have stopped right there and then - it didn’t - but it definitely stopped when he watched Karl’s head bob up and down, accepting the ring in front of him. Sliding it onto his delicate finger and covering his face as people around cheered. Someone shook Dream’s shoulder, he turned his head.
Sapnap.
“You okay?” Sapnap laughed, “You look pale.”
Dream said nothing, tearing his eyes away from his best friend and back to Karl, lips now attached to his boyfriend’s - fiancé’s - lips like they weren't just attached to Dream’s last night.Or Dream watches the love of his life go through the process of getting married to someone that isn't him.

Day 6: Practice Kissing
"Okay-" Dream shook his head. "Tell me, right? You saw Wilbur and his little tantrum today, that the last scene we shot, the one in the rain didn't feel right?"
"Yeah, I saw that," Karl agreed.
"Give me some writer input, please," Dream begged. "It's going to drive me crazy if I have to do that scene 27 times again in the rain. Tell me what's wrong with it."
"I'm not a director, I don't actually know what's wrong with it," Karl replied.
"You wrote the script, you wrote the scene," Dream said. "There's gotta be some kind of insight, about how the picture first came into view in your mind about how it's supposed to happen."
"What we write is mostly up to the actor's interpretation," Karl shrugged. "You can film a kiss scene just fine."
"But I can't film it right," Dream said.
Dream is struggling to film the last scene in this movie. It's supposed to be this big confession scene in the rain with a show-stopping kiss at the end, but truth be told, it just seems kind of messy. So he asked Karl, one of the movie's scriptwriters, for some insights. Maybe even run a couple of lines with him?

"I just think you should go out and date people," Noah said innocently. "In other unrelated news, my math teacher is also single."
"Noah," Karl scolded.
"He's like 6'3, blond. He has green eyes, I'm pretty sure he goes to the gym. It's very good looking-" Noah started to rattle on.
"Noah!" Karl gasped scandalously. "Inappropriate."
"All the girls and some guys have a crush on him, this isn't coming from me," Noah yelled defensively. "It's a public consensus."
"I can't just date your teacher," Karl shook his head while he chuckled.
"Why not?" Noah inquired.
"Aside from the fact that there are probably rules surrounding that," Karl said carefully. "It doesn't work like that. I don't even know what he's like-"
"Men," Noah answered.
"I said, what he's like, not what he likes," Karl said through gritted teeth as he threw a dish towel towards Noah's face.
Problem: Noah Jacobs is failing math class
Solution: Get his dad to date the math teacher so that he can pass with flying colors

Day 7: Weddings
"Where are you darling?" His mother asked.
"Paris," Karl answered curtly. "I needed to get away."
"Oh, so you're running away?" His father's voice boomed in his mother's background. "What are you? Six? Running away because you won't eat your vegetables?" He scolded.
"I-" Karl rolled his eyes and scoffed at his father's words.
No longer was he feeling guilty for his mother, though he was, he was angrier at his father and that somehow takes precedence.
"If you're asking me to throw my life away in two weeks, you can let me go to Paris until then," Karl replied curtly.
"You don't have a security detail, we don't know where you are, who you're with. The paparazzi might get you, rebels might get you, you-"
"I'm old enough to get married, I'm old enough to figure out how to not get murdered," Karl told him.
Despite it being the 21st century, Karl's parents decided to tell him, the prince of Kinoko Kingdom, that he is to be wedded through a mutually beneficial agreement with another prince. Yeah, it's as stupid as it sounds. So Karl left to spend two weeks in Paris, and that's where he met someone who swept him off his feet.

And Dream wants to be honest. But he can’t, because he will look at Karl differently, but not for the same reasons Sapnap thinks. Things will change, but not because Dream thinks Karl is pathetic for being twenty three and having never kissed someone, but because Dream will look at him and wonder how. He will wonder who will be the one to first to taint those pink lips, who will be the one to make Karl feel, make him desperate and needy with a slick tongue and wandering hands.
Who will be that lucky?

Dream finds out Karl has never been kissed and thinks about it far too much until eventually just asking Karl about it. The conversation doesn't go exactly as he thought it would.

Karl’s face is still pink, even pinker with proximity. Dream grins, watching Karl’s mustered ability to be confident as it fails.
“Why don’t—” Karl starts, and Dream grins harder as he watches the brunette begin to crumble, just like he had. “Why don’t you show me, instead?”
Dream shouldn’t have been so foolish.

So he’ll practice kissing on Dream, and he definitely, totally won’t fall in love in the process.
