Summary
A Inuyasha Canon Rewrite, but if considering Honda Tohru and her background were in Kagome's place, save minor adjustments to fit the Inuyasha universe and narrative. No Soumas involved, only her friends and family dynamics. Her grandfather and Kagome's are fused, in personality and concept, and her only family aside of Uo and Hana as friends. She lives in the shrine, as Kagome did - her grandfather is the sole priest and atendant, his name remains Higurashi, for reasons later explored in the plot.
This story seeks to explore what a more mellow and compassionate personality could do in terms of healthy relationship with Inuyasha, whose strong personality clashed so much with Kagome's. Love their romance as it is in Canon, but alas, this is a 'What If' that never left my head since i noticed how similar Kyo and Inuyasha are conceptually, yet Kyo and Tohru seem to me a more healthy match.
Will also explore the angle of Kikyo and Inuyasha's romance being more paradoxal and conected to their own issues, rather than romance itself. They will still love each other, but the base of said feelings will be tweaked. Story will begin in Tohru & Inuyasha's infancy, as is canon in her plot she meets Kyo as a kid.

So, yes, Isla Fawn Sommers was the resident town pity project and apparent crybaby.
