It’s been ten months since Erwin died, and Levi is walking home from a party late one night when he comes upon a kid getting beaten half to death. In a spur-of-the-moment decision, he invites Eren, a homeless runaway, into his house and his life. The two develop a friendship and begin to confront their pasts.
He first saw the kid getting the shit kicked out of him outside the flophouse at 13th and Spruce. The two guys were angry. The taller one kept kicking, flailing wildly while the kid scrabbled in the rain, reaching for a broken beer bottle glinting in the gutter, wedged between the kerb and the wheel of a parked car.
He kept screaming, “I’ll kill you!”
Levi thought he probably would have, too.
It was pissing rain, cold little needles that got under your collar and left your hands and ears numb. Philadelphia rain, the damp and humidity sitting over the grey city and seeping into your bones. Levi stood for a moment in the darkness between the yellow spotlights of the street lamps, watching the two guys brutalise the kid before he cleared his throat.

A fan fiction based off of Gary D. Schmidt's "Okay For Now" follows Brooklyn Thompsen in the infamous year of 1969, one filled with the Vietnam War and the doom of society and fashion mixed with the rising hippie culture. After a major event, Brooklyn's family, the rich and powerful Thompsens of Philly, decide to move to Marysville, New York to control their daughter. There she gets a job working at a Junior High as a secretary, where she meets the legless Assistant Gym Coach, Lucas Swieteck. Dealing with the death of his father, Lucas is not only thrown into the title of man of the house, but also the one to deal with all the finances. Although the two don't get along at first after a specific event, the two later develop a budding relationship, and even though they deal with their own personal problems, Brooklyn with the love of her life and future husband Lawrence Emeri, and Lucas with bills and societies treatment of disabled Vietnam veterans, they realize they have more in common than they thought.

Seungmin’s new roommates are nothing alike. There is Jeongin, his cousin, who he hasn’t spoken to in years; Jisung, who has a sort-of boyfriend and locks himself in his room to work on his music; Hyunjin, who is a little too impulsive; and then there is Felix, who is never around. The only thing that everyone can agree on is that Felix should break up with his boyfriend.
