But even with the guilt, his heart had never ceased its dreadful longing, and that had only grown the longer Wyll spent away from Astarion. Now that he was here, sitting in front of Wyll and smiling as though no time had passed at all, Wyll’s heart wanted nothing more than to rip itself from his chest and take permanent residence in Astarion’s hands.
Instead, Wyll hid the nervous clearing of his throat behind the sound of the tap water, and hung the rag over the side of the basin to dry. He turned back to Astarion, resuming his professionalism.
