Summary
Merlin can’t remember the last time he’s locked his bedroom door, if ever. But he chooses not to think about it. He merely sulks his way back to his bed, taking a moment to contemplate taking off his trousers and tunic from the night before. He decides not to think about that either.
Instead, he decides not to think at all. He just falls back into his bed, covers up his body more so in shame than for warmth, and closes his eyes.
Basically Merlin is sexually assaulted and this story follows how he and everyone else deals with it.
Spoiler alert: THEY DON'T HANDLE IT WELL.

Honestly, Merlin had thought telling Arthur about his magic, and revoking the old laws would be the biggest obstacles to creating Albion. Really that had all been the easy part. After a few teary, but heartfelt conversations Merlin was installed as the new Court Sorcerer and together they set out to unite all the lands in peace.
Apparently the biggest setback was proving to be their marriage status or lack-there-of. Who knew so many people cared about whether a king or wizard had a spouse?

Gwen knows, Gaius knows, the knights know, Arthur knows, and absolutely no one else can find out. Arthur finds himself more and more enchanted (figuratively speaking) with this "new" Merlin, but when the spell wears off, and Arthur realizes that the original Merlin looks just as, if not more beautiful than he did as a girl, and his affections did not just disappear upon seeing Merlin returned to a man, he's forced to confront feelings he hadn't realized he had been suppressing. Merlin is really bad at taking the hints.
