Summary
The war with the Red Court of Vampires has finally ended, thanks to the Wizard of Chicago, Harry Dresden. He was able to make it home with his daughter, and a damaged Soul Bond connection. With his excessive use of Soul Fire, Harry nearly killed the other half of his soul, John Marcone, and himself. The healing process is slower than it should be with his constant headaches.
Between the Fomor’s encroachment on Chicago and a new Dresden in his life, Baron Gentleman John Marcone is beginning to spread himself too thin. The stress is finally catching up to him. John is coming to realize that there are more dangerous powers still lurking in the shadow of their city.
