Despite his popularity, Mirecourt is noted to have died of an 'accident' in his early days and any information about him that isn't basic written records of his performances, dramatic re-enactments of his life, or the few surviving songs that were found then produced for records are hard to come by unless you are lucky... or know the right place to look.
