    No social skills, but he managed to find friends – and even a bit more.

    Still, his past was an issue that he wasn’t ready to share…yet that is.

He looks down at the city commotion, then up at the Big Dipper constellation (the first one he could ever identify as a kid). He feels his heart finally slow down to an acceptably calm rhythm. He closes his eyes. He doesn’t feel anything anymore. He doesn’t hear anything.
    He doesn’t hear the door to the roof open, nor does he hear the blood-curdling scream behind him.
