“Alright, then I ask some questions. Try to find you. You only give me yes or no answers.”
Mike shifted in his seat, “Okay.”
“The idea is to delve in where your brain goes when it wants to hide,” he explained, “what it finds safe, familiar or innovative.”

Something clicked in Mike’s brain, like he suddenly remembered the answer to a test.
“I’m not hiding.”
He said before he could stop himself. Dustin’s arms tightened around him, before he pushed Mike away, just enough that he could look at him in confusion.
Mike blinked, mind suddenly clearer, what was he saying-“I’m not hiding, I’m looking for something.”

Martyn and his two companions, Pearl and Scott, search for freedom. For a place that isn’t the desolate land they are trapped in. The only thing blocking their path is a field of dangerous traps, and their unwillingness to trust each other.
The two groups meet, and whilst finding the answers to many of their questions, they discover that their fates may be more intertwined than they could have ever imagined.

“Hold on, trust me.” Courtney breathes, eyes glued to the next street. The black van closes the gap, inches away–
Courtney yanks the wheel to the right while slamming the throttle.
“AHHHH WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!” Tommy cries.
“HOLD ON!” Courtney orders as their surroundings spin in a blur…her friends scream, her newly-relocated arm screams, but she holds firm and doesn’t waver at all as a shriek escapes her own mouth. Finally, they settle as the car straightens and picks up speed.
“Is everyone okay?” Courtney asks over their shoulder.

She didn’t need her entire life to be uprooted when an annoyingly attractive man and his adorable young daughter moved in across the hall from her.
