Bio

Once upon a rainy summer, child-me discovered my mum’s bookshelf. I started with Snoopy comics and immediately afterwards made some questionable life choices. Namely, reading a very gory, wildly age-inappropriate graphic novel of Macbeth.

From there it escalated quickly: Otfried Preußler, Oscar Wilde, Marion Zimmer Bradley, H. P. Lovecraft, and an intense, formative obsession with E. T. A. Hoffmann. Somewhere in that chaos, I decided I was a writer.

My first project took over a year to complete and ran to a little over three thousand dense word-pages. It had no discernible plot, and only a passing acquaintance with spelling and grammar. I wrote entirely by ear, driven by language, mood, and character—and in the process learned that while I love experimentation, I need a fully realized structure underneath to stay on track.

These days, I write character-driven stories with a fondness for power dynamics, psychological horror, and dark fairytales. I enjoy playing with genre registers, believe in emotional devastation and earned catharsis, and might possibly be a little obsessed with logic and consequences.

Humor appears from time to time, largely because I never stopped writing musically. And because darkness is best appreciated in contrast.
