If fiction is to believable, it must be unrealistic. To implement logic just to implement it is counterintuitive to the genre. Fantasy and fiction should not be escapism, but neither should it be a mirror.
Stories of heroes must show what it means to be compassionate, to empathize with people. They are to struggle, for without hardships, the results do not Feel genuine. But the struggle should not be the focus, only the obstacle to overcome. Let the heroes emerge from the crucible stronger and let their resolve be as firm as it has always been.
