Summary
Aziraphale was disillusioned with Christmas. This would not be a problem per se if not for one thing: Aziraphale was the Santa.
Santa Aziraphale is doubting whether humans still feel the spirit of Christmas; the letters he's getting at the North Pole as of late read more like shopping lists than anything else. He decided to visit the human world to investigate, following a suggestion from his elf assistant Murielf. There, Aziraphale meets Crowley, a toy store employee who just wants to get through the holiday season. Together they set off on an extended date... er, I mean, a quest to discover what is wrong with the Book of Wishes and whether the Christmas spirit is still alive.

Normally, Crowley was not a superstitious person. His Mayfair flat was on the thirteenth floor, and his restaurant offered The Thirteen Club dinners every Friday the 13th!
However, on this particular Friday, December 13th, he was starting to question whether there was some rational substance to the superstitions after all.
It started with a cat. A small black cat that dashed from the fake Christmas tree to the host stand as soon as Crowley set foot into the lobby of The Lure for an Epicure.

The year is 1852, and a clerk, newly appointed by Celestial Enterprises, is tasked to travel to the Oxfordshire village of Tadfield, to conclude some business with a Mr Aziraphale Prince.
Anthony J. Crowley is under the impression it will just be a short visit, and then he will return to London.
Prince, living in his Gothic Mansion, has other, more nefarious ideas, and will do anything he considers necessary to facilitate his requirements.

Strongly encouraged by their entourage to take a break and reconnect with nature, whatever that means, they find themselves on the same idyllic Scottish island by some strange twist of fate. New neighbours and temporary owners of two nearly identical cottages that are in desperate need of new plumbing and better kitchens, burned out actor Aziraphale and disgraced chef Crowley can’t stop running into each other.
Autumn on the Isle of Skye is rainy and lonely, and everyone needs some company. And if the company is so good that parting seems unbearable, it’s just part of the magic of the island, surely. Afterall, they only have one autumn.Series
