Owen centric story where he tries to figure out life without Louis after watching him burn right before his eyes the day before he was going to be turned into a vampire.
A year passes and he returns to Oakhurst to visit Louis’ spot where he was burned. However he finds the town to be turned into a ghost town. No one in sight. Only people he meets are 13 others who came for their own reasons.

'Well, I'm dreaming anyway,' House thought amiably, taking the wrist and setting his finger there.
He waited.
He put the wrist down, painfully knelt, and reached thoughtlessly to the strangers collar— there was a warning inhuman growl that he ignored, as he put fingers against the carotid artery of the neck. The live, growling neck, under a fall of white hair, and above the black leather collar of a very expensive leather jacket.
There was no pulse.
This close, House could see the liquid on the mans face was blood, welling from his eyes and dripping down his face, to land on the silk shirt of the body in his lap. He looked anguished, and House realized he was kneeling on his office floor, leg throbbing and cane dropped next to him, in front of what was most likely a fucking vampire.
"Please, I need you to help him."

"“I’ll go prepare something for your voice.” He said. “Always let me know if there’s something I can do.” He pushed himself into a kneel, preparing to stand, but just as he had steadied himself onto his knees--
“One thing.” Came the broken voice from in front of him, and instantly Legs’ eyes were back on the patient.
“Anything.” He swore, leaning forwards so as to not miss a word.
“Let me DIE.”
He should have expected it, but the pained hiss went straight to his heart anyways. Owen’s eyes were open again, a thin coating of tears gleaming even as his brow was furrowed in fury. Legs stood up fully, hoping that he could hold himself together long enough to get Owen something for his throat, and walked to the trapdoor. He was nearly there before his frustration, brewed in the pit of sorrow and determination in his stomach, almost broke through. 'Let me save you!' He wanted to scream. 'I know I can help, but I can’t do it alone!'"...
or; Legs successfully cures Owen. Owen tries to die anyways.

”You know that not what I–” Legundo took a deep breath, and for some reason it looked unnatural, overdone. Almost theatrical. ”I just want to help.”
There was groaning in the forest behind him, way further back he could see the light of the town braving the darkness. A very slight part of him admitted that if Legundo were to get hurt going back to the town, he might even feel guilty about it.
”Fine.” He stepped back to allow the doctor to enter, and heard the heavy steps behind him as well as the door falling closed.

Summary
So, now he had a plan. He'd run and run till he got to that abandoned town that he'd heard so many stories about, what was it -- called again? Oakhurst? -- and then he'd build a grave for Louis, far away from those awful people who he'd trusted only for them to twist the knife of betrayal into him over and over. He'd then mourn him for a few days before finally joining Louis. Simple enough, right?
ִֶָ☾.
Upon closer inspection, Legs notices that it's not a kid, but rather an incredibly malnourished man. The man had bandages all along his arms running under his shirt, they looked to be dirty. He was so thin and short he looked delicate, breakable. His long brown hair looked dirty, like it hadn't been washed in days. On his hands in spots the bandages don't cover there's a slight marbled nature to his skin, his palms rough and calloused from some kind of manual labor.
OR
What if Legundo was an evil vampire who still wants to fix Owen and Owen just wants to die.

A sense of brief panic hit him, his voice had betrayed his concern, was the vampire here not the doctor? If it was Avid or Pyro, Owen needed to run now or he would not be surviving the night.
A rumbled voice, low and calm, filtered through the silence and Owen’s worries quickly ceased.
“I’m here.”
“Why don’t you show yourself, doc? I’d prefer to talk face-to-face.”
The silence pricked at Owen’s ears - or maybe that was the chilled night air - when the doc took a little longer than he’d liked to respond. The steps had stopped.

Holy water hissed in the air, the night itself turning against him. And through the flames, he saw Owen, crawling, burning, still reaching.

Summary
The Doctor's heart was pounding. Louis had not ever heard someone sound so afraid before, but Louis could not think of why. Could not think of the blood on Owen's front, the red staining his teeth as he hissed a deep guttural growl at the Doctor, pale and ill looking and trembling with leashed violence.
"Owen," Legundo said, still gingerly kneeling, holding both his hands up and releasing Louis to do so. Louis was too tired after his previous struggle to reach Owen, could not take advantage and go to his love like he wished, but he called instead. A high pleading chirp that had Legundo flinching, although he did not turn to stare at Louis like he had before. He, like Louis, was not taking his eyes off Owen.
Owen, who was across the room from them. Surely if this was a dream, Owen would come here, he would not leave Louis cold and alone and hurting.
"Owen, I am not hurting him, please—"
"You're not leaving this place alive, Doctor. You've made a mistake, coming here, you and Avid both."
