Sometimes the fluff and romance between Altair & Desmond is a bit tooth-rotting, but the Isu bullshit is definitely on point. And the time travel loop(s) are the best parts. It feels like a spiritual successor to my old AC fic. (Alt/Des is not my cup of tea, but I like it in this context; Ezio is always a hilarious treat.)

Summary
A few months after Nur, Cal’s life has fallen into a predictable if not always comfortable routine - he and the crew stay under the radar for a while, find some Imperials who need pissing off, pop up, give the Empire a hard time, and disappear again. He likes it. Even those under the radar parts are never too dull when he winds up doing things like disrupting prisoner transports, scrubbing graffiti off the Mantis, and trying to find a lost Jedi retreat.
Oh, and occasionally being kidnapped by bounty hunters. And getting sick, again, which would be less of a problem were it not for the whole ‘kidnapped by a bounty hunter, again’ thing… and that spleen he doesn’t have.

Cal ran from Bode’s quarters. There were no troopers here, not yet, though BD knew that they were coming. BD also knew that Cal was physically unharmed. Yet Cal’s heart rate climbed, higher and higher. He panted, shoulders rising and falling so steeply that BD kept having to readjust his grip. He shook as if he was desperately cold, but the ambient temperature was adequate for humans. Every metric suggested that Cal was badly, badly wounded.
Cal charged forward into the next room, and BD braced himself for the wave of troopers coming at them. Cal drew his lightsaber.
“Get out of my way,” he snarled.
And Cal changed.

The Inquisitor!(now Sith Lord!)Cal Kestis series mixed with a good heaping of "Rebels" and "Obi-Wan Kenobi" that I did not know I needed. This is a series of one shots and multi-chaptered stories that really digs into the Inquisitors and the dark side of the Force. A good mix of Legends and new continuity, but draws a lot of lore and background to make the Inquisitors far more interesting. And...salad blends the actual continuity of "Rebels" into a far darker mix.
