Dabi sits on the armrest of the recliner and throws his legs over the other side. He rests a hand on Hawks’ shoulder, near the wound, and he holds up the knife. The edge catches the light coming from the ceiling lamp with an intimidating glint and Dabi grins down at him humourlessly.
“Buckle up, pigeon. Things are about to get fun.”

Summary
“Y’know, I really should get out of here, I’ve got a lot of important stuff going on tomorrow.” Hawks hears the words coming from his mouth but he knows neither himself nor Dabi believe them.
“Hotels are cheap and there’s one down the street.”
Hawks shouldn’t, he should thank Dabi for the offer and leave as fast as possible, forget any of this ever happened.
“Lead the way, hot stuff.”

On the night before his hero debut Hawks finds himself entangled with the blue-eyed singer of an underground rock band, but by morning he's left Dabi with nothing but steamy memories and cold empty sheets.
5 years later fate drags them back together when Dabi finds himself almost being kidnapped the night before his tour starts and they're forced to get along when Hawks is appointed his personal bodyguard.
