Title from Panic! At the Disco's song 'Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time'

Enjoy!

Note: The character of 'Son Seungwan' is not based on Red Velvet's Wendy even though they share the same real name which I realized after naming my own character. I love Wendy a lot but the character from this story is an 'OC' Sorry for any confusion!

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Hoseok stands at the bus stop nervously looking around every other second.

He might be here any minute and Hoseok feels himself getting even more nervous as time passes by.

His phone buzzes and he expects it to be a text from him. But instead, it’s Hoseok’s roommate and best friend Yoongi.

‘Don’t forget to buy milk on your way home’

‘Fine’ Hoseok replies.

‘Also some squid chips pls thx’

‘K’

Hoseok pockets his phone almost wanting to leave. He is over twenty minutes late. Maybe, he isn’t even gonna show up…

Just then Hoseok sees an expensive looking black car pull up in front of the bus stop.

The driver steps out and opens the car door and there he is casually sitting on the seat. He lowers his sunglasses just a little looking at Hoseok and Hoseok feels himself getting self-conscious.

The pictures on his profile didn’t him do any justice Hoseok thinks. He is even more stunning in real life.

“Are you even gonna get in, Hoseokie?” he says and his voice is so deep and sexy. Of course, the man had called him Hoseokie a lot before when they chatted but it sounded so different and sensual to actually hear him say it.

Hoseok nods as he gets in and sits maintaining a distance between them.

“How was your day Hoseokie?” he asks a little smirk on his face.

“It was uh, okay,” Hoseok answers. “How was your day, Mr. Kim?”

“Boring, a lot of meetings,” he answers sitting back and crossing his legs.

Hoseok smiles when they make eye contact while he fidgets with his backpack.

There is complete silence to the point that it feels awkward to Hoseok but Mr. Kim seems to be completely at ease.

About 20 minutes later the car stops, the driver steps out and opens the door.

Hoseok steps out looking at a majestic glass building.

He suddenly feels Mr. Kim’s hand on the small of his wait just slightly touching and Hoseok feels goosebumps rising up on his skin.

“Come on Hoseokie,”

Hoseok nods as he walks in with Mr. Kim. It’s a restaurant and an expensive one by the looks of it. Hoseok looks out of place with his ripped jeans, his gray hoodie, and converse. Everyone including Mr. Kim is dressed in suits that are probably worth more than Hoseok’s college tuition.

Lost in his thoughts he doesn’t realize that Mr. Kim is calling out his name.

A man is guiding them to a table.

He pulls out a chair and Hoseok sits down and so does Mr. Kim who is smiling at Hoseok yet again and Hoseok barely smiles back. He is so nervous around Mr. Kim gives him a smile.

“What would you like to eat?” Mr. Kim asks.

Hoseok looks at the menu card and he is seriously confused but he doesn’t want to show it. Mr. Kim only chuckles as he takes the menu from Hoseok and after a minute says some weird name to the waiter who nods leaving.

Hoseok looks around at the people around him, women dressed in expensive dresses and men in suits sipping wine at 1 pm in the afternoon.

“Hoseokie,” he hears Mr. Kim’s singsong voice.

Hoseok looks at Mr. Kim.

“Uh yes,”

“Relax Hoseokie, I don’t bite,”

Hoseok smiles nervously, sitting back.

“I just wanted to tell you, you look absolutely beautiful,”

Hoseok turns red. It was one thing when Mr. Kim complimented him when they chatted but in person, it is a completely different thing.

“Th…thank you,” Hoseok mumbles looking down. “You look great too”

“That I know,” Mr. Kim says with a little smirk on his face.

Just then the waiter is back with what looks like two plates of salad.

“Since you didn’t want to order I got you a salad too,” Mr. Kim says. "That's okay, right?"

“Uh yeah salad is good,” Hoseok says with a smile as he takes a bite and it is probably the best salad he has ever tasted.

They don’t talk much while eating except Mr. Kim winks at Hoseok twice leaving him red-faced.

Mr. Kim has an astounding effect on Hoseok.

“Would you like dessert?” Mr. Kim asks.

Hoseok shakes his head no. He doesn’t want to seem like a glutton in front of Mr. Kim even though he is barely full.

“All right bill please,” Mr. Kim says and the waiter leaves with a nod.

Hoseok sips on his water until the waiter returns with the bill and Hoseok’s mouth is left open when he sees how much the small plates of salad cost.

“Come on Hoseok,” he hears Mr. Kim.

Hoseok nods as he gets up and just like before Mr. Kim places his hand on the small of his back as if guiding him through.

They get in the car.

“I am sorry Hoseok we couldn’t spend much time together today,” Mr. Kim says.

“Mr. Kim…,”

Mr. Kim interrupts Hoseok.

“But I am very happy about the time we did spend together,”

Hoseok nods.

“I will drop you home before I go back to my office,”

“Oh okay,”

Mr. Kim smiles before taking Hoseok’s hands into his and playing with his fingers before he sits back.

Hoseok feels dizzy at the touch as he recites his address to the driver.

When they almost reach Hoseok’s house Hoseok remembers about the milk and squid chips Yoongi asked for.

“Mr. Kim…can you stop the car for a second?” Hoseok asks hesitantly.

“Why?”

“I need to get some milk and also some squid chips…,”

“Dong will get it,” Mr. Kim says.

The driver stops the car and immediately leaves to buy the milk and the chips while Mr. Kim texts someone on his phone.

The driver returns and hands a plastic bag to Hoseok.

Hoseok reaches for his wallet but Mr. Kim stops him gripping his waist.

“But…,”

“It’s okay Hoseok,” he says his grip firm on Hoseok's hand.

"Thank you...," Hoseo says giving in feeling guiltier than ever before. Lunch was another thing but he can’t let Mr. Kim buy groceries for him.

Hoseok is still terribly new to the whole sugar daddy/baby thing…he realizes.

They have soon reached Hoseok’s building and he expects Mr. Kim to drive away but he steps out with Hoseok walking with him to his flat.

He doesn’t talk at all and when they reach the door of his flat, he looks Mr. Kim expecting him to say something.

Mr. Kim instead just leans in and presses his lips to Hoseok’s. It’s gentle and there is no sense of urgency. Hoseok is taken aback but he kisses back Mr. Kim. The kiss, however, ends too soon for Hoseok’s liking and he feels like he might actually faint if it weren’t for the firm grip that Mr. Kim has on his shoulders.

“I enjoyed my time with you Hoseokie,”

"Me...me too,"

“I wanna see you again,”

Hoseok’s heart is racing.

“I don’t know if I can tomorrow I have a lot of meetings but this Saturday I think I can make some time,”

“Oh okay,”

“Would you like to come?”

“Of course yeah sure I mean,” Hoseok says a little too eagerly before he mentally kicks himself for sounding too excited. He can’t wait to see Mr. Kim again.

“My place for dinner,” Mr. Kim finishes with a little smile

“Oh yeah sure,”

Mr. Kim smiles again.

“I look forward to seeing you then Hoseokie,” he says,

“Me too Mr. Kim,”

Mr. Kim chuckles.

“You know you can call me Taehyung right,” he says as he flicks a strand of hair from Hoseok's forehead. “You are not one of my employees…you are special,”

Hoseok gulps a little, shivers running down his spine.

“Yes, Mr…Taehyung,”

Taehyung laughs again.

“You are too adorable Hoseokie,” Taehyung says. “I am gonna miss you the next two days”

“We can…chat,” Hoseok suggests shyly.

“Of course we will,” Taehyung says putting his arms around Hoseok's waist

He kisses Hoseok again and this time he kisses him a bit roughly, almost biting at Hoseok’s lips.

“I have to go now,” Taehyung says as he breaks away from the kiss.

“Goodbye Taehyung,”

“Goodbye Hoseokie,” Mr. Kim winks before he walks off and Hoseok takes a whole minute to gather himself before he rings the doorbell.

Yoongi opens the door.

“You took a long time,” Yoongi complains as he goes back to the couch burying himself under a pile of blankets. He has been doing since ever since their heater broke and both of them are too broke to replace it.

“I was with Jimin,” Hoseok lies.

“Did you get my chips?” Yoongi asks and Hoseok tosses him the packet before going in the kitchen to keep the milk in the fridge.

“These are the wrong brand,” Hoseok hears Yoongi yell. “You know I hate these”

“Well, they only had these ones,” Hoseok yells back.

“You could have gotten barbecue chips,” Yoongi yells.

“Shut up and eat your chips,”

Hoseok goes to his room and tries to complete his assignments for the rest of the afternoon because his mind is clouded with the thoughts of Mr. Kim and about how good he looks with his golden tan skin and his deep warm brown eyes and when he smiles. Hoseok could list out a million of these little perfections.

Hoseok changes Mr. Kim's name in his phone to just 'Taehyung' and sees that he has two texts from Taehyung.

'Hoseokie'

‘How is my baby doing?’

Hoseok blushes before typing a reply.

‘Just finished homework, u?’

‘Work boring,’comes Taehyung's reply

':('

Taehyung sees the text but doesn’t reply.

Just then Hoseok hears a knock on his bedroom door. Hoseok puts his phone away before opening the door.

“I just called Jimin,” Yoongi says. as soon as Hoseok opens the door.  “He says he was with Jungkook all afternoon”

“Fine, I lied,” Hoseok answers with a weary sigh.

“What were you doing?” Yoongi asks.

“I just spend my time in a café that’s all,”

“Really,” Yoongi says. “Then why did you lie?”

“Uh, I don’t know,”

Hoseok knows Yoongi is barely convinced with his poorly constructed lie and he knows, Yoongi will sniff around but for now, he doesn’t need to know.

Of course, soon he will have to tell his best friend that he has found himself a sugar daddy.

Well, that is if Taehyung sticks around…

Hoseok feels stomach is rumbling and he is in no mood to cook.

“I'm really hungry, can we call for some pizza?” he asks Yoongi.

“Don’t worry Seokjin left some pasta this afternoon,”

“Bless him,” Hoseok says as he goes to the fridge and puts the pasta in the microwave to heat it up.

Hoseok and Yoongi eat the pasta while watching a wildlife documentary on how lions mate and Yoongi is particularly fascinated but Hoseok is barely watching his mind still warped into thoughts about Taehyung and reminiscing about the kiss they had.

Hoseok washes the dishes after they dinner before going to his bedroom so he can finally sleep after such a long day but not before checking his phone and contemplating whether or not he should text Taehyung goodnight.

He ends up sending a goodnight text and Taehyung sees it but doesn’t reply.

Hoseok curses himself for being too stupid of course Taehyung doesn’t have time to respond to silly good night texts or maybe Hoseok is being too clingy…

What if Taehyung doesn’t even like him? And all day today he was just being nice to Hoseok.

But he did kiss Hoseok…

Hoseok groans confused.

He really doesn’t know anything about how these relationships work and how he has even found himself in the middle of one.

After all, it was just a boring evening that had lead to all this.

Hoseok doesn’t remember why he went to the sugar daddy site because the thought of having a sugar daddy had never even crossed his mind before.

He swiped through multiple profiles of rich, fat potbellied men who looked older than his father and that’s when he came across Kim Taehyung’s profile.

The man didn’t look older than 30. The picture of him was posing on some cruise ship wearing a floral shirt the top buttons undone and short shorts showing off his body. He looked younger and sexier than anyone on the entire website

So, Hoseok made an account just to talk him and if he was being honest, he didn’t even expect a response but Kim Taehyung managed to surprise Hoseok with a prompt reply and of course just 3 weeks later they were meeting up for a lunch date and Taehyung also kissed him.

This is bizarre but strangely quite fun.

Hoseok’s phone buzzes and there it is a goodnight text from Taehyung. Hoseok can hardly wipe the grin off his face after reading it.

He falls asleep happy.
