Make Me Feel

Summary:

Onodera Sachiko is a third year at UA Highschool. She's always been happy-go-lucky and ready to try her best at being a hero but when her homeroom is taken over by one Mr. Aizawa, a scruffy man in black who just expelled an entire class of first years, she begins to panic. Can she keep her place at school with her non-physical quirk? Would the teacher with hypnotic dark eyes kick her out? Wait, what? Hypnotic? what the hell? He's her teacher, she should NOT be thinking that way. Right?

Notes:

Just a fanfic I'm writing for fun to take some stress off my shoulders from Uni work.
Based the year before the anime starts.

Chapter 1: Late again, Miss Onodera?

Chapter Text

Her breath was coming hard and fast as she ran full speed down the road. Her shoulder-length raspberry red hair loose and flying around behind her as she went. She wove expertly between the crowd, never once pausing in her forward momentum. She had somewhere to be, and she was not going to be late, not this time. The grey uniform of UA Highschool was a tell-tale sign to any onlookers on where she should be. It was coming up to 8:45am and orientation would be beginning in 15 minutes. She should already be there, but she wasn’t. She had slept in and missed her alarm, again. She mentally cursed herself for what seemed like the 100th time that morning. Why did she have to be such a heavy sleeper? It was the first day of the school year and she was going to be late. She ground her teeth together and ran faster. If only she had her hero costume on, she’d be there already. Her name was Onodera Sachiko, aged 17 (nearly 18 thank you very much) and about to start her third year at UA Highschool.

After 10 more minutes of running she grinned to herself as the school gates came into view, maybe she would make it in time after all. Her blue eyes glinted with glee as she crossed the threshold and dashed towards the assembly hall where the orientation would be held. Her feet pounded loudly against the floor of the hallway and as she skidded into the room the door closed behind her. She turned to see Pro Hero Snipe with his hand on the door. He looked at her pointedly “Late again Miss Onodera,” he said.

She was breathing heavily and grinned before giving him a thumbs up, “Not quite, I got here before you shut the door,” The masked hero shook his head and gestured for her to join her classmates. She did at once, sitting with class 3-A and looking up at the stage where Principal Nezu was beginning the Orientation. The small cat/dog like creature was chipper as always and was giving the usual, “try your best young heroes” speech. Sachiko sighed and started to zone out, the orientation was always dull and nothing much changed each year.

“Psst, hey Sachiko, you look like hell,” the girl behind her whispered. Sachiko looked over her shoulder to see her best friend Okami Tsuki looking at her with a worried expression on her face. Sachiko had been friends with Tsuki since they were kids and the familiar black dog ears pressing against her head in worry was a sight she had seen many times growing up.

“I had a disagreement with my alarm clock this morning,” Sachiko whispered back to her. Tsuki shook her head with a small smile her ears perking up.

“You better get a louder alarm then,” She stated, “Word is we have Eraserhead as our homeroom teacher this year,”

Sachiko grimaced, she had never actually met nor seen him but Eraserhead, Mr Aizawa, was not at all afraid to expel students for the slightest thing, even tardiness. “What is he doing teaching third years?” Sachiko asked in a harsh whisper, “He’s usually with the first-year students,”

Tsuki shrugged and looked up the stage ears twitching as she half listened to Principal Nezu talking, “Something about expelling his entire class, the first years started a week earlier this year and well, he expelled them all on the first day.”

Sachiko blanched and looked up to the stage where the Principal was handing over to Present Mic to finish up the orientation. The blonde pro hero was loud and exuberant as usual treating the assembly like a DJ concert or something. “Maybe I should get Present Mic to record me a wakeup call, so I don’t sleep in,” she whispered back to Tsuki who choked on a laugh.

“Hey, you could always ask him to sleep over,” Tsuki whispered with a chuckle as her black and white husky tail wagged with humour. Sachiko blushed and glared back at her, it was no secret that she used to have a crush on the Pro Hero when she was younger, the phase had long past, but Tsuki would never let her forget it.

“Shut up about that would ya? I was 14,” Sachiko hissed, “Besides, having a teacher in my bed would definitely get me expelled,”

“I dunno, maybe if you got Eraserhead in your bed, he wouldn’t expel you,” Tsuki laughed nudging Sachiko lightly.

Sachiko sighed and rubbed her temples, “You’re insufferable,” she whispered a slight blush on her cheeks, “If he’s anything like what the first years always say, then I’m probably going to hate the guy,”

“Yeah, tell me about it,” Tsuki said with a grimace, “We’ll just have to be on top of our game this year,” She played with the blue streak in her silver hair, an action she did only when she was nervous.

“Don’t worry, I’ll protect you from the big bad teacher,” Sachiko said laughing. Suddenly an off-white strip of fabric was wrapped around her and Tsuki’s mouths cutting off their laughter.

“If you two wouldn’t talk so loudly I might actually be able to rest back here,” a dull monotone voice said from directly behind them. The two girls turned and looked to see a scruffy dark-haired man in black clothing protruding from a bright yellow sleeping bag. Around his neck was an extremely long off-white scarf that was currently floating slightly and stretched to them covering their mouths. He looked half asleep and rather grumpy as he scratched the stubble on his jaw.

Tsuki’s eyes grew wide and her ears pressed back onto her head as Sachiko glared and tugged the scarf from her mouth. “Maybe you shouldn’t be sleeping through orientation then,” she snapped, who did this guy think he was? “Get this off us would ya? Before I tell one of the teachers on you,”

Tsuki’s eyes widened further as she looked to Sachiko and shook her head quickly murmuring through the scarf. The guy gave a crazed looking smile, “Tell one of the teachers, on me?” he asked his eyes wide and unnerving.

“Well duh, you’re using your support gear on us, during school,” Sachiko said in a tone that clearly stated she thought he was an idiot, “That’s against the rules, are you dumb or something?” The guys eyes narrowed and a smirk played on his lips for a moment. Oh, he could look at her like that all day and she wouldn’t mind. She wondered absently who this guy was and whether he was single before shaking the thought away with it’s absurdity.

Tsuki finally managed to move the scarf from her mouth and gasped out, “Sachiko, this is…”

The guy cut her off before she could finish her sentence, “Sachiko...Onodera, oh I’ve been told about you,” he said, “I hope you don’t intend to be late to my classes Miss Onodera, I take punctuality very seriously.” Sachiko raised an eyebrow before her eyes widened…wait…was this…?

“…Eraserhead,” Tsuki whispered. Sachiko blanched, oh shit she had just bad mouthed a teacher, and not just any teacher, her new homeroom teacher, the teacher who just expelled an entire class of first years in less than a day.

He gave another creepy smile, “I’ll see you in class, on time, Onodera,” he said. His scarf returned to around his shoulders as Present Mic dismissed the assembly. He moved to the door and out of the room as the students started to disperse towards their classes.

Sachiko sat in place visibly pale. “Come on Sachiko, you heard him we have to get to class,” Tsuki said nudging the red-haired girl from her stupor.

Sachiko nodded dumbly and stood up following Tsuki out into the crowded hallway. The only thing going through her mind was the look on his face when she’d called him dumb. Shit, had she just been fantasizing about her homeroom teacher? Tsuki would NEVER let her live it down if she knew.
