Work Text:
As the (former) Geo Archon, Zhongli was used to various things. After all, he lived through many millennia, learning and cultivating his skills. Brewing tea, listening to stories, and the occasional mass murder of hillichurls with his massive meteorite were simply things he was accustomed to.
He was not used to dealing with his two other counterparts in this day and age.
It was apparently time for Morax, the ruthless and impulsive warrior who bathed in the blood of his enemies, and Rex Lapis, the sly and seemingly more peaceful (but just as bloodthirsty) side of the Geo Archon, to awaken inside Zhongli.
He groaned inwardly. The god could feel the clamor made by the two already.

Since Zhongli was normally a kind and polite gentleman, his companions on the streets of Liyue were quite surprised to see him on edge. They noticed signs of stress, which would be understandable, considering his job at the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor alongside Director Hu Tao. Yet, by the archons, were those fangs they saw?
I can feel our people’s stares, vessel. Why are they not offering us anything? Perhaps you ought to take control once again of Liyue. However, before that, you should be taught a lesson about giving up your Gnosis. During the days of the Archon War, you would have been slaughtered in an instant! Where is your sense of self-preservation? Have you no shame?
Zhongli sighed at Rex Lapis’ scolding. He always had a way with words, but it felt quite idiotic to listen to when it was all inside his head. He did miss the power and the unlimited amount of mora that came with being Liyue’s Archon, but he gave it up for a reason. No amount of lecturing would bring it back.
It’s no use talking to him. I want to go out and fight! We should go meet the last yaksha. Xiao, was his name? His corruption must be worse. Morax let out a dark laugh. I wonder when he’ll finally snap. When he does, you must let me out! I wish to battle soon. It was such a pleasure fighting alongside the Adepti all those millennia ago. The bloodshed was certainly something to live for! Not all the thinking and planning your wimpy Rex-
Zhongli could almost cry out in relief. Now that there was a sliver of peace inside his mind, the oncoming headache that was forming was starting to fade away. But why had Morax stopped?
“Zhongli!”
Ah.
That’s why.
It’s Kita.
First, he could feel Morax surge through his body, trying to take control. Zhongli and you had first started as acquaintances. Since you were a divine being that served under the Electro Archon, it was only natural you would be drawn to Ganyu, an Adeptus, after escaping from Inazuma because of the Vision Hunt Decree. Hoping that you would form a connection with a new (and much better, in her opinion) archon, Ganyu had excitedly introduced you to Zhongli. You could tell at once that he was no ordinary mortal.
Zhongli had stared you down that day with his deep amber eyes. At first, he thought that you had tricked Ganyu, and were only in Liyue to harm either himself or another illuminated being under the order of the Shogun. You managed to clear everything up, though, and you two grew closer from then on.
Let me out, you foolish vessel. Morax hissed. Let me meet our beloved. Or have you not even begun to court her yet? Let me out. Let me take control, or you’ll regret this later.
Zhongli rubbed his forehead. No.
Next, Rex Lapis tried to reason with him.
I must admit, I, too, am curious to see the woman you have been fascinated with for over a year now. She has served the Electro Archon? Well, I’m sure you can think of some ways she can serve you, yes? Rex Lapis purred suggestively. Even he had to return to his baser instincts sometimes.
Zhongli chose to ignore them this time and turned to face you, a fake smile on his face. “Kita, how have you been?”
His pained look did not go unnoticed by you. You debated whether you should ask about it or not, but something told you that he wouldn’t tell the truth anyway.
“I’ve been fine. I was just about to go meet Xiao at Wangshu Inn. Do you want to join me?” you offered. The Adeptus was a moody one, but you enjoyed his company. It seemed that Xiao could put up with it, so you made it a habit to go and see him once in a while.
Zhongli’s smile grew more strained. Morax reared his head again, grumbling about how you were spending time with “some nobody rather than him”. It was funny how he was just talking about how much he wanted to fight with the “nobody”.
Perhaps it was because of how possessive Morax was over you, but Zhongli didn’t like the idea of you going off and seeing Xiao alone. Rex Lapis was quick to notice this change of heart.
Yes, my vessel. What if the yaksha has ulterior motives? He’s always been more comfortable with being alone. Why would he suddenly let someone in his heart if he wasn’t looking for something more than just simple companionship?
Zhongli knew that he was just trying to convince him to tag along with you so you weren’t alone with Xiao. Unfortunately for the geo user, it was working.
You were taken aback at the sudden sigh Zhongli let out. “Is everything alright?” you asked.
“Yes, I just-” He rubbed his forehead. “Might I ask if… I can accompany you to Wangshu Inn? It’s been a while since I have last seen Xiao, I’m afraid.”
“Of course!” you replied without missing a beat. You flashed him a smile and turned on your heels, ready to go prepare some gifts for Xiao.
Morax and Rex Lapis didn’t get much time to celebrate as they noticed you were heading the wrong way. “Where are you going? Wangshu Inn is the other way, my lily.” The endearment was blurted out without Zhongli thinking. He fell silent, cheeks growing warm as he waited for you to say something.
Apparently, you didn’t even bat an eye at the name as you explained that you wanted to buy a few things for the Adeptus first.
Morax growled. Do you see what’s happening now that you haven’t expressed your intentions yet? Xiao is thousands of years old. He can take her thoughtfulness the wrong way, think that she’s returning his feelings, foolish mortal.
Calm down. Zhongli snapped back at his former self. Xiao doesn’t like change, but he has adjusted to the new mortal way of life. He won’t take anything the wrong way. If you truly wish to treat Kita right, you can’t have complete control over her. Let her do as she pleases.
But that didn’t stop the jealousy from festering inside his heart. Ever since Ganyu had introduced you to him, he subconsciously started to search for you everywhere. On the streets of Liyue, over the heights of Mount Tianheng, in the sights of Luhua Pool. Like a Glaze Lily opening up to song, Zhongli’s weathered heart pieced itself back together. How could he not feel envious of the thought you were putting into these gifts for someone who served under him?
Perhaps it is for the best that she is not gifting us anything. Only Celestia knows what Morax would do to Kita after that.
Rex Lapis was right. Morax was the more… animalistic counterpart of Zhongli. Many, many years ago, during the Archon War, he was known as the God of War. He was ruthless, cutting through enemies as if they were nothing (and really, they were. No one was a match for the Lord of Rock). Osial, a feared, ancient sea god, was easily sealed by simply throwing down stone lances. Morax was so powerful that the massive spears created what is now known as Guyun Stone Forest. Of course, it couldn’t be forgotten that Zhongli had some dragon mixed into him as well. One of his many titles was the Prime of the Adepti; his form being known as the Exuvia, a massive and mighty dragon.
In short, Morax represented the primal side of Zhongli.
That meant that basic instincts ruled king in his head. Old customs were still very much to be followed, according to the Lord of Rock. And that included reciprocating feelings if someone gifts something.
A part-dragon who was well in sync with his instincts, and receiving a gift from the woman he was courting, would not end up well for poor you.
Zhongli sighed and caught up to you in a few long strides. He found the height difference quite endearing; it made him want to keep you safe from all harm, even though he knew you were chosen to fight alongside the Raiden Shogun for a reason. You were strong, no doubt about it.
“So what are you preparing for Xiao?” he asked, even though Morax was busy complaining about how you haven’t given him anything yet.
“His favorite dish is almond tofu, did you know? You should see - though I’m sure you’ve seen it before - the look on his face whenever Verr Goldet brings a plate of it out of the kitchen. His whole face just brightens up and it’s honestly so cute of him-”
As you rambled on and on about Xiao, envy wormed its way inside Zhongli’s heart. It was no surprise that the anemo user had captured your attention; even though he hated it, Xiao had always managed to attract people, no matter how unwanted they were. You were no exception, it seemed.
Morax growled, a warning of what was to come if anybody else stole your attention.
Claim her.
Yes, that was a magnificent idea. Zhongli could see it now, his mark on your neck, where everyone could see it, and your belly round with his child so no one doubted who you belonged to-
“Zhongli?”
He snapped back to attention, directing a pleasant smile toward you as if he wasn’t just fantasizing about breeding you.
“Is something wrong?” you asked, worrying your lip. You couldn’t help but notice how subdued he was today. Zhongli was normally quite talkative, albeit a bit too much sometimes. It was endearing, though. It was clear from how he talked with so much passion that he had a true understanding of Liyue and its history. Considering that he personally oversaw the nation’s beginnings, it was to be expected.
The archon’s smile faltered slightly. Yes, something is wrong, you’re supposed to be my wife and have my babies but you’re not for some reason-
Thank you for that, Morax. Rex Lapis bit out sarcastically. You always know what to say.
It’s my pleasure. Morax replied. Zhongli could imagine the cheeky grin on his face.
“I must have been quite the disturbance during the Archon War...” the geo user muttered as he reflected on his past actions. By now he was getting quite annoyed by Morax.
Your eyes flicked to him. “The Archon War?” You let out a short laugh. “You were a complete menace, Zhongli!” You were full-on laughing now as you recounted his glory days.
“You used to throw whole mountains at Barbatos! He would somehow manage to get on your nerves every time you two would meet - which didn’t take much, by the way - and all of a sudden, a whole meteorite would appear! You always had a look on your face too, it was kind of like-”
A thud by the side of your face quickly sobered you up. Zhongli had the same facial expression you were starting to describe; lips curved into a cocky smirk, eyes glinting with mirth. His arms had trapped you, pushing you up against the wall.
A low chuckle escaped him. “It seems you have been eyeing me for quite some time, hm? For you to pay attention to me so closely… dare I take this the wrong way?”
He leaned in closer, trying to fluster you.
Bad move.
A shiver ran down his spine as your natural scent engulfed him. It was a mix of everything he liked; the scent of lilies, a slight fragrance of silk flowers, and a hint of osmanthus wine. Pleased, Morax crooned. Smells perfect.
All you saw was Zhongli’s normally stoic face softening before he buried his face into the crook of your shoulder.
“So perfect…” A low rumble escaped him as he nosed around your neck. Meanwhile, you were starting to feel your cheeks heat up with warmth.
“Are you sure nothing’s going on?” you asked. This was definitely not normal behavior. “Because this is unusual coming from-” You were cut off with a yelp as you suddenly felt sharp teeth on your skin. Were those fangs?
“Seriously, Zhongli, you’re acting strange!” You tried pushing him off but to no avail.
A growl escaped him. “Stop moving so much.” Morax was out now, ready to take control of the reins. There was something on your neck and there was only one thing it could mean: someone tried to claim you.
His grip on you tightened. You were almost marked? Who else had their eye on you? He bit back the snarl in his throat. You were his. No one else’s. And as soon as he found out who dared to claim what belonged to an archon… well, it wouldn’t end very peacefully.
There was an elemental mark weakly glowing at the back of your neck. It smelled faintly of Cecilia and contained the gentle aura of the wind. This time, Morax couldn’t hold back a growl as his fangs grew even sharper. He knew that Xiao wouldn’t come anywhere close to going against his master’s wishes. It had to be Venti. Deep down in Zhongli’s soul, Rex Lapis protested against pursuing any harmful actions against the Anemo Archon.
Morax scoffed.
I swear to fucking Celestia nothing good ever comes out of your mouth. You speak as if you have something worthwhile to say. Where were you when Kita was right in front of us, ready for us to court? You have done nothing, made no progress. I’m going to be the one who fucking makes her mine tonight, watch. It’s not like our vessel is going to have control now that it’s time for spring.
“That damn wretch. I should’ve thrown bigger mountains at that piece of flying shit,” he hissed.
You blinked a couple of times, startled at how vulgar Zhongli suddenly became. Then again, was this him? Just like the archons, any divine being was connected to Celestia in some way or another. It was easy to tell who was what. You weren’t human. You were immortal. Whether it was a blessing or a curse, it was hard to tell. But once upon a time, you were devoted to the original Electro Archon. She saved you from a god whose only goal was to destroy, destroy, destroy. Then… you met the most battle-hungry man you had ever met.
You laughed at Morax’s frustrated nips on your neck. Was the elemental sigil Venti gave you for protection all those years ago that big of a deal? You gently patted his shoulder, knowing that things would get out of hand if a misunderstanding arose. Morax huffed; he didn’t want to stop. That mark had to come off.
“You do realize that I was given that for protection, right?” You raised an eyebrow at him. “I doubt that an archon would want to start anything with me.”
“But I was an archon. And I want to start something with you,” Morax said testily. Fuck there was something in the air, wasn’t there. He would never say something so mushy-gushy, as if he wanted something more than fucking, as if he wanted to put a ring on your finger and a baby in your belly-
Bright, golden eyes widened at soft hands cupping his cheek. You smiled at him. “I remember when you were like this, you know.” You laughed. “You were quite blunt as well when we first met.”
Morax’s lips curved into a smirk. “You also got to see me naked.”
This time, it was your eyes that widened. “Why- why do you remember that of all things?” you sputtered.
“I remember everything. Especially the first and only person to steal my heart.” The archon leaned in closer to your face, eyes flicking to your lips then back up to your mesmerizing eyes. He tilted your chin up. “But can you recall exactly how we met?”

It was nearing the end of the bloody Archon War. Rather than dying down, the battle quickly escalated as the remaining gods grew desperate to achieve the power of The Seven. But no one could dare wish to survive a fight against Morax, the Warrior God. When he wasn’t barraged with competitors, one could often find him in Luhua Pool, soaking in the relaxing water. One fateful day, he met someone whom he seemed to take a liking to…
“That Barbatos never fails to annoy the living shit out of me,” Morax growled as he settled down in one of the many hot springs that made up Luhua Pool. “It’s gonna be surprising if he manages to survive this.” He let out a happy sigh as the water washed over his body. It soothed his wounds and almost made him forget all that he had lost during the war. “I’ll kill everyone who gets in my way from now on. No more mercy. No fucking mercy for anyone that hurts me, directly or indirectly.” He continued to hiss about his violent tendencies.
Not even ten feet away, you were standing there, petrified as you heard the god mutter to himself about how much he wanted to get rid of “that shitty wind spirit”. As someone who served under respectable gods, you were unused to hearing vulgar language. Of course, the God of War was respectable, but it was more that everyone feared him.
“Next thing you know I’ll be flattened by a meteorite if he catches me,” you muttered under your breath. Ei had sent you here to spy on Morax. She didn’t quite phrase it like that, but you knew it was implied. It was important to keep an eye on the unpredictable god.
Morax’s ears perked up. The scent and sound were unmistakable; someone was near. He bared his fangs and the scales on his arms rippled. Who would dare interrupt the only time he had for peace? Calling upon the power of the earth, he grasped a stone lance and promptly threw it next to your unsuspecting face.
What the-
The wall behind you crumbled as Morax slammed his hand above your head. He leaned down, furious eyes burning into yours.
“Explain yourself,” he said in a gravelly voice. Even the ground seemed to tremble at the anger in his voice.
Your eyes narrowed. Did he think that you were scared of him? “I serve Makoto and Ei, Morax. I doubt that you can do anything more to me than spew threats. It is not in your best interests to start something with the twin gods,” you said calmly.
Morax blinked a couple of times. You… didn’t feel threatened by him? Not even a little bit?
He scoffed. “I’m aware. But I ask on a personal level. Why do you wish to see me when I’m clearly in a state of undress?”
That got you flustered. Now, all you could focus on was making sure your eyes didn’t wander too far down.
“Be-be quiet. I’ll take my leave now.” You averted your eyes and Morax took pleasure in the cute blush on your cheeks. You had an alluring scent; one that drew him in, made him want to stay near you.
“I will see you soon, then,” he said with a smirk as you walked away. You may have thought that you were getting away, but no, Morax had already latched onto you.
✧༝┉┉┉˚*❋ ❋ ❋*˚┉┉┉༝✧
“What a menace,” you chuckled as you reflected on your first meeting. “Can’t believe you nearly chopped off my head.”
Morax shrugged. “I think it was deserved.”
You gaped at him. “Deserved?!” You huffed. “Fine then, I see how it is.” Before you could take even a step, strong arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you in.
“Don’t leave.”
It was the only thing he said before diving back into your neck. Morax shivered as your enticing scent engulfed him once again. “I know that you’re aware of my current… predicament right now. It’s so hard to-ngh, control it around you.” Morax’s breath hitched as the bulge in his pants rubbed against you. “If you spend the night with me, you’re-you’re gonna have my baby.” Lust had completely overtaken his senses as he mindlessly rubbed your stomach. “This is gonna get swollen with my brood-Kita, please, need to fill you up-”
He dazedly looked at your face. Your cheeks were flushed and you seemed to grip his hands just a little bit tighter. Were you… accepting him? Your nod confirmed it.
The thin line of sanity Zhongli was holding on to seemed to snap.
He had thought that his former self had done enough damage already, but seeing how you were allowing him to claim you, it was so hard to not want to treasure the moment as his new mortal self.
Before you knew it, you were being dragged through Liyue’s busy streets with your wrist grabbed by Zhongli’s warm hand. He walked swiftly, steps filled with impatience as the lust inside his body reached new levels. It was almost unbearable by the time he unlocked the door to his house with shaky hands; his cock was aching to be released from the tight confines of his pants.
“Come here,” he growled in a husky tone as he picked you up into his arms. You didn’t even have time to yelp before you were thrown onto his bed. Zhongli quickly went on top, breath picking up, and kissed you for the very first time.
There were a lot of emotions behind the kiss. Love, starting from that fateful meeting at Luhua Pool. Adoration, for your strength and accomplishments. Lust and neediness, just for you.
Zhongli could feel his heart pounding against his ribcage. This thrill, the pure rush of adrenaline coursing through his veins made his head all fuzzy and he couldn’t think or focus on anything other than you and claiming you as his own, his mate, his wife-
His tongue slipped inside your mouth and deepened the kiss. Groaning into it, he intertwined your fingers with his own as the bedsheets rustled under your shifting bodies. Both of your clothes came to lay somewhere on the bed. Your head was only filled with Zhongli and his body against you.
“It’s not enough,” he whispered as you were pulled closer to him. You moaned quietly as Zhongli kissed down your neck, leaving tiny bite marks wherever his lips touched your body. His draconic instincts were flaring up and screaming to mark his little flower. It had been many years since he had first met you but he simply couldn’t wait any longer.
Zhongli’s cock twitched in interest as his long fingers brushed over your stomach. To think that he was going to be the one to fill you up with his potent seed tonight. From your very first meeting, you had already been claimed by him. Did you not notice how the adepti couldn’t get close to you because you were practically drenched in Morax’s scent? They wouldn’t have dared to mess with what belonged to the God of War.
Finally, he reached the apex of your thighs. Your legs quivered as his hot breath hit your insides and you inhaled sharply. What would he do next? Would he spread you open with his fingers so you could fit his thick cock? Or maybe have a little taste for himself?
Zhongli looked up at you with eyes that were almost smothered by blown-out pupils. He smirked and rolled out his tongue, revealing how long and forked it was. “You’re going to feel so good that by the time this night is over, you won’t remember anything except my name,” he vowed. He took joy in the shivers that wracked your body at his lewd promise. Leaning into your glistening pussy, he experimentally spread your lips open and teased your entrance by lightly brushing a finger around it.
“Zhongli…” you impatiently breathed out his name as his tongue slowly licked across your slit. He lapped up your leaking juices eagerly, desperate for your taste.
“This flavor surpasses that of the sweetest wine I have had the pleasure of tasting on my tongue,” he whispered between your thighs. It was getting difficult to reign in his basic instincts when you were right in front of him, ripe and ready to take. Celestia above, it was hard to imagine how he managed all those years without you.
Feral desires taking over, his draconic tongue slipped inside you and he drank in your surprised shriek. Yes, he could taste you better now, devour your entirety. You tugged on Zhongli’s hair, letting out soft whimpers as you felt his tongue curl inside you. Along with the added stimulation on your clit, you were close to reaching your peak. The archon continued as if he was a starved man-he might as well have been because it seemed he could never get his proper fill of you.
“Let go for me, my love,” Zhongli purred as his finger brushed over your clit once.
“Zhongli!” With a cry of his name, you tipped over the edge and came. It washed over you like a violent wave and left you scrambling for breath. In your post-orgasm haze, your eyes landed on Zhongli’s cock. Your hand was next.
Zhongli’s eyes flickered shut while you rubbed his tip. “Ah, Kita-” his deep voice wavered as you started to pump his length up and down. A loud groan escaped him. “You don’t have to-oh.”
He muffled his surprised whimper with his hand as the warmth of your mouth engulfed his dick. His hand was raised as if he was going to push your head away, but the pleasure that spread over his body was too much to handle. Short pants were let out when your tongue started to work wonders on him. Tracing circles over his shaft, you made contact with Zhongli’s half-lidded eyes and hollowed your cheeks around him. His eyes flew open and his hips gave you one quick jerk.
It was clear from the tension building up inside of him that Zhongli was about to cum. But he didn’t want to, not yet at least.
“H-huh, wait!” You yelped as his thick cock slid out of your mouth, and you were pinned to the bed. Slight growls erupted from Zhongli’s chest as his unusually bright eyes bore into yours. The hand that had pinned your wrists together moved down to your legs and spread them apart once more, except this time he was going to fuck you.
“Tonight, I’m only going to cum inside you. It’ll be a waste if it goes anywhere else considering that we’re trying for a child, are we not?” He whispered those sinful words in a deceptively sweet tone into your ear.
You felt the shivers run down your body and shakily nodded.
“Good,” he purred contentedly.
Zhongli, still looking deep into your mesmerizing eyes, intertwined his fingers with yours as his cock nudged against your opening. He gave your hand a light squeeze to ask if you were ready, and you squeezed back with a soft smile.
In any other circumstance, Zhongli would have melted at that, but he was too horny to focus on anything besides breeding you.
The minute the tip breached your entrance, Zhongli’s hand flew to your hip as he tried to control himself. You were practically squeezing the life out of him and it was just so hard to not cum already-
“So--you’re so damn t-tight,” he groaned out, moving deeper inside you. His breaths started to come out as short pants.
“Mmm, Zhongli…” you breathed out when he finally bottomed out inside. Zhongli let out another groan as he felt your walls flutter around his twitching cock. Trying to distract himself, he leaned down and gave you another deep kiss. You responded in kind, involuntarily clenching down on his length and causing him to let out a stuttered gasp into your mouth.
“Can’t hold myself back any longer,” he rasped, hips immediately starting to move at a fast pace.
The pleasure was blinding for both of you, from the way his cock seemed to hit all the right nerves to his biting all over your neck. Zhongli couldn’t help it; now that he was finally fucking you, his self-restraint snapped and his instincts came back in full force. You had to be marked, even if it was just his possessiveness flaring up.
“Zhongli… Zhongli!” you moaned out your lover’s name, hands squeezing his with a deathly grip. It hadn’t even been that long but you already felt like you were dangling off Celestia’s edge.
“Yes, that’s it, keep crying out my name,” Zhongli hissed as his hips slammed against yours. “Let everyone know who you belong to.”
It was even harder for Zhongli to stretch out the pleasure because of the way you had touched him earlier. You had looked at him so innocently yet sexily, and he could see the lust and burning desire you had for him…
“Fuck!” He bit down harder on your collarbone in an attempt to cover his animalistic growl. He must have been going crazy or something close to it; his senses were so heightened he could even hear your cute moans as he hit a certain spot deep inside of you.
“R-right there!” You threw your head back, breath hitching. From the way both of you were grasping and clawing at the bedsheets, the whole bed would most likely be broken by the end of the night.
“Gotta pump you full of my seed…” Zhongli crooned mindlessly as both of you approached your peak. Fantasies of you round with his child and walking around Liyue with a glinting ring on your finger, hand in hand with him, made his thrusts speed up. You could only helplessly cry out Zhongli’s name as he battered your cervix.
“Cumming, d-deep inside!” Gripping your arm tightly, he infused your body with the power of Geo and watched as your divine beast tattoo turned a beautiful shade of amber.
You didn’t serve the Raiden Shogun anymore, you belonged to him now. Truly.
He thrusted in as deep as he could, tip right at your womb, and painted your walls white. His cock swelled up, stretching you out and locking the cum in. It was the peak of his basic desires; to continue his bloodline with you.
The unfamiliar sensation in both your womb and on your arm made your whole body tingle. It was the last thing you needed to push you to your orgasm. Letting out an incoherent, high-pitched whimper, you came over Zhongli’s cock.
For the next few moments, the only sound that filled the bedroom was pants and gasps as you both tried to regain your breath. Your sore throat let out a raspy cough, and immediately Zhongli was there, lapping at your neck and crooning concernedly.
“My lily, are you okay?”
He had no intention of hurting you; tonight was meant for consummating your love for each other.
“Fine, just need water,” you muttered tiredly.
Unbeknownst to you, there was more to a rut than just fucking. Zhongli had knotted you in his desperate state of mind to increase the probability of you conceiving. After it died down, you quickly discovered how overprotective he became of you during the moments after sex. He hated to see you far away from him.
“Alright?” he asked again while you two were in the bath, you sitting between his legs.
You let out the cutest laugh Zhongli had ever heard. “Yes, I promise.”
Then you felt something hard poking your thigh.
You twisted your head to look back at him. At least he looked embarrassed about it.
Pressing a quick kiss to your forehead, he looked at you sheepishly. “I apologize, my gem, but ruts simply do not last for one night.”
It seemed you were in for a ride over the next few days.
5 years later…
“Lei, get back here!”
You ran after your young son to the best of your ability. Unsurprisingly, It was quite hard when you were carrying the next addition to your family.
“No! I don’t wanna eat fish!” He turned around, stuck his tongue out at you, and proceeded to run into his father’s leg.
“Eep!” He shrieked as he was picked up. Once he met Zhongli’s disapproving gaze, Lei gave a pout but settled down.
“Don’t give your mother a hard time, Lei,” the former archon said gently.
Lei pouted even more. “But I don’t like eating fish.”
Zhongli looked at you for help, only to see you raise an eyebrow. Sighing, you took Lei into your arms.
“He takes after you in more ways than one, it seems,” you said with a laugh. Not only did Lei have his father’s unusual eye color, but he also shared the same distaste for seafood.
“He has a point, my lily.” This time, he was the one to laugh as your cheeks turned warm.
The sunset filtered through the windows of your lovely home, bathing your tiny family in a warm glow.
You placed a hand on your swollen stomach. Well, it wouldn’t be tiny for much longer.
