Chapter Text
Next to her brother peacefully while Inosuke and Zenitsu were how they were, with Inosuke chasing Zenitsu. She sees Tanjiro, who seems puzzled and focuses on a scent.
Suddenly, everyone freezes, and the colors around her seem dull like time stopped. She is quickly on alert and covers her frozen brother from any dangers.
Her vision becomes blurry, and she starts to feel dazed. Everything seemed to mix.
Then, she is transported to an unfamiliar snowy forest with an unnerving presence. She looked around in front of her. The snow on the ground was dirty, and she smelled the smell of rotten meat and food. When she looked up, there was no sky; through the thick fog above her, she saw some kind of rocky ceiling.
It was quiet. A little too soft.
Just then, behind her, she hears breathing quickly. She turns around in a position ready to fight.
A strange skeleton, sleeping before her on what seemed like a small counter, appeared like any demon she had encountered, but it was not human either.
Nezuko: ("It smells awful here like rotten human flesh...")
JP("それは腐った人間の 肉のようにここでひどいにおいがします...")
She thought. She scrunched her nose in disgust.
Then, looking over the large body, her eyes spotted dried blood stains on the skeleton's dirty white shirt and blue sweater. She panicked but realized it was not human blood... It was blood-like fluid coming from the large hole in the cracked skull and chest wounds of the skeleton.
The creature seemed troubled as it slept but then awoken, and the beast seemed threatening as it looked over at her with one red beam of light. It gave an unsettling smile. Then it gave a puzzled look like it knew who she was...
??: "wait a sec.. do I know you?... are you that demon girl with the other human with the sword?"
Nezuko was stunned.
Nezuko: ("Does it know me? I have never met it...")
JP(どうして彼は私を知ってるの? 彼に会ったことがない...)
??: "hmm.. the prick told me to inform him of anything odd.. but he will probably just torture or kill you.."
The notion of dislike on his face shows. He was still giving his wide grin.
Nezuko stood in silence and confusion, staring at the being blankly.
Sans H: "hey, i'm sans, sans the skeleton"
Nezuko: "..."
Sans H: "..."
An awkward silence fills the cold, foul-odored air.
Sans H: "something wrong, kiddo? er- are you even human?.. whatever"
Sans H: "you don't understand what I'm saying, do you? you look completely confused... kinda funny, heh heh."
He laughed as he kept his unwelcoming presence. His laugh seemed dead.
Nezuko: ("He doesn't speak my language")
JP "彼は私の言葉を話さない"
She concluded.
Sans H: "uhh, that colorful sans...ink..? I think said that you don't talk like most of us.."
Sans H: "i'm guessing you want to return to your 'happy' universe. how hopeless for you to end up in this mess.."
He put on an uneasy smile that gave her chills down her spine.
Nezuko looked around her surroundings and began to feel a bit nervous with the absence of noise.
The skeleton scratched the back of his skull and fidgets with the sharp ends of his cracked head with his hands.
Sans H: "i can't 'au jump' as others can, but i have some buddies who can."
Sans H: "just try not to die.. heh, heh."
He chuckled again with a sadistic smile... Nezuko was frightened but managed not to show it, just in case he was a demon, and stood her guard.
Suddenly, the skeleton then teleported to her in a blink of an eye. Nezuko jumped at the giant skeleton in front of her. He was towering over her. He was even more intimidating up close.
But he didn't do a thing but stand there and smile, his one eye staring.
Sans H: "calm down, huma- or uh, kid... i'm not gonna kill you. i'm just gonna bring you somewhere a bit more private.. to call one of my buddies."
His expression took a carefree smile. Seeing as if he tried to seem friendly.
Then, once again, he teleported, but this time inside a room of a house. It was dark and gloomy and cluttered with blueprints, trash, and books. The walls were mostly covered in small drawings of what seemed like a box with scratches and scribbles with many notes, some having arrows pointing to it and others notices all around.
The room also had a small desk with a single mysterious luminescent flower in a bottle half full of dirty water.
She could smell tomato sauce and noodles from somewhere, but it smelled unpleasant. That same smell of meat followed.
Sans H: "stay here for a bit.."
He held out his hand to signal.
Nezuko, who didn't understand but didn't have anywhere to go anyway, remained.
She carefully watched closely and looked for a way out, just in case...
The skeleton picked up the slightly luminous, purplish blue flower from the desk by the bottle.
And spoke to it?...
Sans H: "hey hell... i kinda have a thing that i need you for..."
After a while of uncomfortable silence, the flower spoke back... An unknown monotone voice can be heard.
Hell: "Fine, you're lucky I'm not busy right now; what do you want?"
Happily, the giant skeleton responded.
Sans H: "great, i just need you to take this kid to ink without alerting him.."
Hell: "A human? That's unlike you... you would have given them to your bro for those death "puzzles" or to that prick."
Sans H: "that's the thing, they aren't human. i don't know them personally, but i don't think she belongs here.."
Hell: "Hmm.. sure, I don't care, but I'm not responsible if they die."
Sans H: "thanks, we will be waiting at my house."
He placed the flower down and turned over to her, who was still puzzled over the ordeal.
Sans H: "now then, i'm guessing you don't know how you got here.. to be honest, you're a lot smaller than i thought you were..."
He looks over her like he was expecting her to look differently.
San H: "i don't see what that glitchy one sees in you that is 'cute.' but i think little blue would be starstruck if he sees you, heh."
He gave a small chuckle to himself.
Another skeleton suddenly appeared without her knowledge in the room beside the bloody skeleton.
Who was sorta identical to the scary one but smaller, not covered in blood, and with a red sweater with two thick black stripes on the upper parts of its sleeves? His sockets were empty, unlike the single red beam of light from the one she first met.
Hell: "I'm here."
He yawned.
Hell: "Is this the kid? Are you sure your socket is fine? Heh heh, It looks like a human to me... a weirdly dressed one that is"
He seemed disappointed and then laughed at the insult he gave.
Sans H: "yup, anyways, it's no monster, and it doesn't belong here. i wondered if ink can get them back to where they came from."
Hell "Interesting...But sure, whatever, you owe me, though."
He gave a somewhat playful grin. The large skeleton looked like he had given up on his demands with annoyance.
Sans H: "ya ya, fine.."
Hell: "Come along, you weird kid."
He said while gesturing towards her to come along.
Nezuko stood there, confused about everything going on.
Sans H: "oh, i forgot to mention that she doesn't understand what we're saying. that's another reason i want you to bring them to ink."
Hell: "You always like to give me a bad time, don't you? Ugh Fine.."
With an annoyed expression, he returned his hands to his pockets.
Hell: "See ya"
Nezuko is then again teleported to a purely white and gold place that seems to go on forever, and above her head, there appears to be... paper and string.. it also seems to have no ceiling. The apparent floor was splattered in various colors, painted with doodles and notes in random places.
