Every part of her was sore as she stood, but she’d fight to her last breath, whatever it cost.
She’d made her choices; the people of Bahak would die. Kenson and the Alliance team were indoctrinated, now dead. Escaping with her own life felt almost perverse, but someone had to carry on the fight.
The mission always comes first. A phrase her mother had used, running her family like a military unit. Shepard’s mouth twisted bitterly at the memory.
Hannah had made countless sacrifices for the Alliance, but none more so than her relationship with her daughter. Her only child.
