Chapter 1: Monty vs Gregory

Chapter Text

Defeating an over 100-year-old corpse, trying to save your friends after they were all brainwashed into killing a quite scary 10-year-old, adopting said 10-year-old, and then having to explain the situation to your friends was a very tiring ordeal. While Vanessa did advise Freddy to go to first aid to fix the multiple casualties of running from and stopping a huge fire, falling several times, getting attacked, and God knows what else, the bear ended up flopping on his couch with Gregory in his arms. Gregory seemed to be doing fine after the sequence of traumatic events, sure he had attached himself to Freddy and attacked whoever attempted to remove him, but who could blame him? Freddy looked down at the sleepy kid and softly smiled. They were both alive and safe, and that’s what mattered.

2 months later, Gregory had befriended everything in the pizzeria. No Freddy was not exaggerating, the wet-floor bots followed Gregory around even though their only purpose was to…well…hang out around wet floors. Still, it was nice to not have to worry about the kid every 2 seconds, knowing he could pass him to any of his friends if needed, not that Gregory enjoyed it. Today was one of those days where Freddy would be getting his wounds looked at from the previous ordeal and Gregory could not come, no matter how much the kid begged. “I was there!! I should be allowed to come!” Gregory had stated at one point. Unfortunately, Freddy had a very long list of everything that could go wrong if Gregory were to come, and they ended up at Monty’s door. “Why can’t I hang out with Chica or Roxy!? What if he makes me play golf?!” Gregory wailed, like golf was the worse thing he could go through. Freddy sighed and shook his head.

“Chica is busy baking for a birthday tomorrow and Roxy was trying out new makeup looks; I don’t want you clowning around while they are busy. And besides, Monty is fun!! You two have so much in common, some quality time will do you both some good!” Gregory groaned and threw his head back. Freddy gave a soft but firm knock on the door, requesting entry. Monty opened the door, looking mildly annoyed at the intrusion. “Hey Monty!”

“Hey FredBear, wha’cha need?” He looked down and noticed the small kid glaring at him like he had ruined his birthday party. He slowly looked up at Freddy, curling his lip further. “You got to be kidding me..”

Freddy gave an awkward smile, scratching the back of his neck. “I need you to...watch Gregory” Freddy caught the door just as Monty was about to slam it on his face. “Monty, please! Just for an hour! I just need to go into first aid and get some work done, it should be quick!”

There was a moment of silence as Monty glared at the bear before falling victim to the large pleading eyes. “Fine…you owe me though.” Freddy grinned and tackled said gator into a crushing embrace. “Freddy! It’s not that big of a deal!”

“Thank you thank you thank you!! I’ll be back in an hour! I promise no longer than an hour!” Freddy released the slightly dazed alligator and kneeled down to a pissy Gregory. “Don’t give him too much trouble, make sure you get a snack at noon, don’t burn anything down, and no sneaking into the vents or you-.”

“Will scrape my knees, yes Freddy I know.” Gregory finished, looking unimpressed. Freddy gave a little wiggle and stood up, thanking Monty a few more times before jogging off towards the main stage. Gregory turned to Monty, based on the expression the kid wore you would think he was babysitting Monty. “Stop looking at him like that”. Monty blinked out of his daze and looked down at the kid.

“What?”

Gregory huffed, grabbing the alligator’s arm and pulling him into his room. Monty was amazed the kid even managed to do it. Gregory turned with his back towards the door, glaring at Monty with his hands on his hips to emphasize his “authority”. “Stop looking at Freddy like you want to bang him.” Monty sputtered, turning bright red, and tensing up. The kid’s language would have been funny if it wasn’t directed at him.

“I ain’t gonna- I don’t wanna bang your dad!” Gregory rolled his eyes and flopped onto the destroyed green couch, grabbing a Freddy plushie and holding it up to emphasize his point. “Am I not allowed to have a stuffed toy of my friend!?”

“You only want him for his ass, you treat him like shit, he’s not your friend.”

Monty raised an eyebrow and his tail thumped softly against the floor. “You swear a lot, keep it up and I’m telling Freddy.” He flopped on the couch next to Gregory, sending him scrambling into the air for a moment. “Why do you care if I hypothetically have a thing for your dad? Can’t I look at a man’s ass once in a while?”

Gregory kicked him with a glare. “You’re gonna hurt him.”

Monty rolled his eyes and shoved the kid with his tail. “He is much more of a bastard than you realize kid, I ain’t gonna do nothin’ to him, emotionally, I just think he’s hot.” He sighed and relaxed into the cushions. “I don’t wanna date him. I just think your dad is just hot is all.”

Gregory eyed him cautiously. “How do I know I can trust you?”

“You nearly burned down the pizza plex, you think I’m gonna turn my back on ya? I ain’t suicidal.” The kid eyed him for a few seconds before nodding his head and grinning to himself.

“Okay okay, but I’m watching you creep.”

“On second thought maybe I will date your dad-“

“NO!!”
