Chapter Text
On Tubbo’s first swim to the shore, the wind blows his hair with more force than any current. The rains pelt the ocean’s surface as waves crash against the rocky beach, blurring the line between sea and sky.
Tubbo takes his first breath of air and it scrapes his gills, sharp and gritty like when the sand is stirred up in the shallows where the river meets the larger water.
The surface is dark and stormy today. Tubbo can just make out strange kelp forests growing on the land - they move with the wind just like the kelp waves in the currents. Lightning flashes and thunder booms. Tubbo thinks he might come back to visit on another day, to see the land-kelp in the sun.
