DEFENCELESS – PROLOGUE
The year is 2022. There’s no One Direction reunion yet but fans haven’t lost the hope. All the boys from the world’s most popular band are smashing it in their solo careers. While Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne have released one solo album each; Niall Horan and Harry Styles are one album ahead of them. The ex-band member, Zayn Malik is doing fine by himself with 3 successful albums.
Although none of the band members have ever denied the possibility of coming back together, their success in their solo careers have always remained a sign that it’s a next to impossible task to reunite with the band.
Simon Cowell, who’s the reason behind the formation of the world-famous pop group and who has been their mentor ever since they started have said that he’s trying to get the boys together for the sake of fans. Now, Simon has said this before also, but fans were always disappointed. Now let’s see if he can actually bring them under one roof again. What are your thoughts on this, let us know in the comments below?

The one where the boys of One Direction are brought under one roof when they’re attending the same event. It’s not smooth as people would expect it to be. There’s a lot of bad blood and tension amongst the boys but Simon doesn’t care. He wants to put the band together but it’s not for the fans. He demands that all the boys should get together and be One Direction together. While a few of them are happy to be back together, someone is definitely not. He doesn’t want reunion at any cost. There’s a lot which he has left behind and doesn’t want to face those people and those feelings again. Will Simon be able to convince that certain someone to join the band again or the boys will step in to make him agree?
The band may or may not reunite but there’s definitely a catch regarding this reunion.
PS- This story will revolve more around the emotions of all the boys and their relationship with each other rather than business problems, which of course will be there. Duh.
I’m new to One Direction fandom, probably six months old, I’m still not aware of everything about the boys & the band and I’m still DARING to write a reunion fic on them so, please be kind and non-judgmental while reading it. Support and Criticism both are accepted.
Main points to remember:
I entered this fandom randomly because one day I just saw a YouTube short of Larry ( their x-factor video diary to be specific ) and then I started watching more of them. So, basically, because of Larry I got to know about the whole band.
And later on, I just fell in love with Niall. Like, who doesn’t love him, right? Duh. Also, I connect more with Louis and Niall because I have similar personality traits like them so if I’m more focused on these two please don’t mind. Cuz I just love them.
Louis is not a father in this story. (Though I have watched several videos and read theories about the whole thing, I’m not sure how I feel about that so that’s why I’ll keep it like this. And whatever the situation is a kid is not to be blamed or hated for anything which the elders are responsible for. And I’m sorry in advance if this has offended anyone.)
Yes, corona did happen but Louis had his tour during 2021.
Also, I’m not aware of most struggles or whatever which the boys faced irl (incl. why Zayn left the band). I just know bits and pieces which I saw on YouTube or read in fictions, so I’ll kind of create my own version which will be similar to what I have read.
I’m not familiar with American or British slangs or places so don’t mind my writing.
The main ship of this book is obviously LARRY, but the other ship is the ship which I love the most and it may not be your regular one or fav or what you expect. I would understand if you don’t like them but please don’t spread hate or negativity.
The pace of the story might be slow at some points so please don’t expect characters snogging each other’s faces off by chapter 5 or even chapter 10.
I feel emotions and family are very important aspects of one’s life so main focus will be on the relationships of the boys amongst themselves and also, their families.
Speaking of families, I just know about Louis and Harry’s families so if I make some mistakes regarding other families, please correct me.
Due to 1D only, I got familiar with LGBTQ+ community. Like because of them and the fan fictions, I got to know more about them. I really respect the people from this community. This will be my first time writing a fan fiction on real people and on LGBTQ+, so I want nothing but your support.
This is just a FAN-FICTION. Reality is so far from what is being written/told in this story. Although, for some scenarios, I’ll try to use the real facts but other than that it’s all my imagination. Don’t compare it with reality because ObVIOusly there’s no truth in this, ObvIOUsly!
Also, guys… I’m new to this fandom and this is my new account on wattpad. I could have used my other account but I was not sure whether the people there are homophobic or not and I really didn’t want to take a chance. So, it would be really nice if you guys can recommend this story to your friends and other people who read 1D fics! That would be really nice.
I realized that there are already so many stories with the same title. Now, even if I want I can’t change the title because, well you’ll know. So just try and spread the word about this story if you like it.
Just give this story a chance, just read and try to feel the emotions of the characters. I know this isn’t going to be famous or something, but I have really put so much heart and effort into this story and it’ll mean a world to me get some feedback and appreciation.
