Summary:
As teenagers, Kara and Lena meet at a soccer match where they play against each other.
After the game, they give in to the immediate attraction they feel for each other for a one-time fling.During career week at Ruby's school, Sam meets the lady doctor who managed to make an impression on her daughter. In need of a friend, Sam lets Alex into her life not knowing where faith will bring them.
Kara grows up to be a professional soccer player.
As she moves back to National City for her transfer to NC Atalanta, Alex and Sam take her in until her apartment is ready.
When Sam grows suspicious of a possible common past between Kara and her best friend Lena, she makes plans to match them again.
Instead of the usual L-Corp charity gala, she organized a soccer tournament for National City's biggest companies.
Kara is introduced as the professional who will train and compete alongside the L-Corp team.
After all these years, Lena will pick up the gloves again.
Notes:
For this Supergirl Summer collaboration, I got to work with the amazing and enthusiastic artist, cuarcium, who came up with the soccer idea to which I happily applied.
- I do love Kelly! I love Kelly and Alex together, so this is nothing against her or the Dansen ship.
But we love Sam as well. AgentReign would have been adorable. Plus; I really love Sam as a best friend for Lena.
