Janus never understood proper anger until his son burst through the door with a tear stained face and his broken glasses gripped tightly in his hands.
He never understood how a child could be so cruel as to torment one of their classmate’s, taunting them for their parents divorce.
He never understood parents who watch their children mercilessly tease someone and not punish them.
He did, however, understand body language.
He watched as the mothers whispered and blushed and squirmed whenever he entered the Parent-Teacher meetings.
He watched them purse their lips and bend over in an attempt to romance him, unaware of his sexuality.
He knew body language, and most of all, Janus knew how to get revenge.
