The shine of the early morning sun shone through the windows of the busy canteen.
There was a table near the corner, which could fit eight, held all but two of the Royal Knights. (It was hard to fit the only non-humanoid, Sleipmon, into a table with the others, but they are there.) Five six Knights. Some were gossiping, while others didn’t.
"Rhodo, could you pass me the salt?" A cobalt knight asked. "Ulforce, sweetie, it’s LordKnightmon, not RhodoKnightmon. Not to you that is." The pink knight retorted, but passed the salt to him anyways. "Y’know Ulforce," a white dragonoid knight chiming in. "You shouldn’t agitate others, especially if it’s about their names or titles." There was an unspoken message, but known to all. "I know, I know." The knight muttered.
After getting chided, the cobalt knight looked around the canteen. The canteen was filled with different Digimon, mostly Knightmon, and they came and went. Suddenly filled with awe, the recently inducted Knight spoke, "It sure is big." "Hm? Did you say something?" A golden knight spoke up this time. "Uh- it’s nothing, Magna!" Replied the cobalt. With that, the gold knight went back to eating.
Staring some more, while eating, the cobalt knight noticed someone nearing the entrance and exit of the canteen. "Oh, there’s Omegamon!" He exclaimed, while whispering. "It is. I was wondering when they would show up." The crimson sleipnir mumbled.
As the white knight strode, yet slid, across the room, Magnamon and Dynasmon slid to the side, to make room for Omegamon. "Morning, also thanks." The white knight uttered. "No problem, Omni’. But, uh, what took so long?" The dragonoid knight asked. "I was writing a report on my last mission." The white knight replied, with a tinge of embarrassment.
"If you wanted to write a report, you should’ve done it later." The brown knight spoke up, looking up from his book. "I don’t know.. I have this weird feeling nagging at me, but I don’t know what it is," The white knight explained. "But surely it’s nothing."
Settling down, the white knight grabbed his gauntlets, and placed them in a digital space. Proceeding to swipe up, a digital screen appeared. With the digital screen, many notifications were left unread or marked off as "Insignificant, check during downtime."
"You’re getting quite comfortable showing us your hands Omni’." The gold knight teased. With a blush behind the mask, the white knight quietly grunted, indignantly, and retorted, "I don’t mind anymore, but I’ll probably not show it, once a new Knight arrives, again." Finished, the white knight tapped on the digital screen.
Ding!
A notification appeared on a screen, and quickly disappeared, adding on to the mound of notifications. A digit pressed on the screen, opening the notification.

Immediately after viewing the message, The knight closed the screen and stood up, causing the other knights to project confusion. "W-What happened, Omni?" Ignoring the sleipnir’s hesitation, the knight answered, "Lord Yggdrasil has summoned me, I shall take my leave now," With deliberation, as the knight was starting to head towards the exit, they added more, "Take care of yourselves."
The hallway was devoid of any Digimon, as most were at the canteen. The dull steps that sounded throughout the path, abruptly stopped. After checking whether they were alone, the head on the left opened up and a sword came out. The white knight raised the sword up, and slashed the air.
A dimensional rift opened in the halls, which would soon close after it opened. The knight hurriedly went through the rift, appearing in a white cavern like digital space. Shortly after, the rift closed behind the knight.
The knight moved a few steps before hearing it, « Welcome Omegamon, Knight of End. » A monotonous voice greeted the white knight. Before it finished, the knight knelt down. Once it finished the greeting, the knight spoke, "My Liege, I have arrived." The knight said no more, waiting for their Lord to acknowledge them.
« You may stand. » The response of acknowledgement finally arrived, after some time. The knight stood up, soundlessly looking around.
« This assignment is like no other, » It began, «Rather, it is not an assignment.» The ending statement surprised the knight, but kept silent as their Lord continued.
« Gennai has informed both me and Homeostasis, The ones who occupied the Digitamas of Courage and Friendship somehow died during an attack, and the Digitama of Light was lost as well. » The Host Computer stated. The knight took in the information, and realized something. "M-My Liege, you’re not going to say what I think you’re going to say!?" The knight exclaimed out in alarm, then realizing what they had done, "Forgive me My Liege, I spoke out of turn." They spoke, after kneeling and bowing their head.
« I do not care whether it is for formality or not, so stop that. » The Computer told the knight. After the knight stood up, the Computer continued, « Gennai has requested for someone to replace the ones of Courage and Friendship, while he tries to look for Light. You’re a feasible choice, so head to Qinglongmon’s part of the Digital World to meet with Gennai. » The Computer finished, the knight tried to protest.
"What, but My Liege, I can not do that!" The knight bellowed, in the endless white realm. In the middle, was a sculpture holding a glass marble, the Host Computer. « I have told you what I said, Omegamon. » The Computer said. Was there a hint of sympathy or sadness? The knight could never tell.
After some time, the knight finally relented. "Then I shall go to Gennai. I wish you well, My Liege." The Computer didn’t answer, it was busy processing data. The knight turned and walked, stopping to make a rift to exit.
This must have been the unease I felt earlier, well, it’s good that I finished that report this morning. The knight mused as they walked through the halls. Turning the corner, was the Knights’ abodes. The abodes were actually personal digital spaces acting as rooms, and in this case they were acting as chambers.
Strolling to their abode, the knight entered the code to the space. Entering past the door, was a white room, and it looked like what one would expect for a bedroom. A bed with white sheets on top, a small table with a lamp next to the bed, and an air conditioner. There were things one wouldn’t expect for a bedroom, like a mini freezer, and a shelf full of books. To the right, there was a private bathroom.
Looking at everything in the room made the knight feel fond of the space. "I’ll miss this place." After a few moments, the knight was confused on what they said, "What am I talking about? I can access this space at any time."
They moved towards the mini freezer, taking candy to eat. Removing the mouthguard for the candy to be eaten. The knight stood up and moved to sit down on the bed, projecting a digital screen. This time, the screen was showing a group chat of seven. The seven were the current Royal Knights, Omegamon, Magnamon, Dynasmon, Duftmon, Sleipmon, Lordknightmon, and UlforceVdramon. Omni★, Magz♥︎, Dragonoid♦︎, Leopard♧, Sleipnir◇, Rhodo♡, Ulforce△, respectively.

Hey guys! I’ll be off on an assignment for extended time, don’t know when it’ll end. Like i said earlier today, take care of yourselves. I won’t be 'here' to clean up your messes :)
