Illinois stepped into the bedroom, dropped his bag, and let out a grunt as he stretched. He had been gone for over a week on an adventure. It had gone well, and everything went as it was supposed to, but he’s been sleeping on a dirt floor the whole trip and had an ache in his back.
“Yanc? Yanc, I’m home.” Illinois had been told that Yancy was in their room and didn’t see him in there. Maybe he was in the bathroom or something, it was rare that Yancy didn’t immediately greet him when he came back. Illinois stretched again and decided to get started unpacking as he waited, assuming it wouldn’t be too long.
He was putting his worn clothes into the laundry basket when he heard a giggle. Illinois straightened up and saw that was still alone. Another giggle soon followed and Illinois went to see if he could find the source of the sound, pulling out his whip to be ready to attack if needed. He soon grew closer and closer to the trunk that was at the foot of the bed. The trunk held extra pillows, blankets, and the works and was a fairly large one to fit the large pillows they both enjoyed.
“Boo!” Yancy suddenly burst out of the trunk, swinging the lid open with a loud creak and scaring Illinois enough to get him to flick his whip. Thankfully, he did it in a way that just wrapped it around Yancy’s waist. There was a pause as they both had to register what had happened. Illinois eventually broke the silence and grinned.
“Honey, I’m home~” He took a step and gently tugged Yancy closer to give him a quick kiss on the lips. Yancy had a flash of his own grin before he turned it into a pout.
“Yous whipped me.” He exaggerated his tone, making sure Illinois knew he actually wasn’t hurt or upset but still wanted to have some fun with him.
“Don’t worry treasure.” Illinois hugged his other arm around Yancy’s hips, picking him up and out of the trunk. “I’ll make it up to you.”
“Good. Yous been gone and I missed ya.” Yancy just spoke casually this time before going into another kiss. Illinois chuckled a little and then kissed him back, very happy to be home once more.
