Author, Director And Screenwriter Wednesday Addams Did Her First Interview And Yeah, It Kinda Went Viral
Master of the horror-mystery genre, Wednesday Addams has always sat in that niche between well-known and totally anonymous.

But after a recent marketing push by Warner Bros. leading up to Blood of the Skulker’s cinematic release in a few months, she made her first public appearance on television.
And suddenly, we’re all obsessed.

Wednesday is sitting bolt-upright in the armchair next to Seth’s desk, hands folded in her lap, wearing a long black dress and a glare. Seth is leaning towards her and still attempting an amiable smile.]
Seth: So, Wednesday. I have to say, when me and my writing staff were frantically trying to come up with questions to ask you, we barely had enough paper to write them all down. It’s like we know nothing about you.
Wednesday: [narrows her eyes] Where is the question?
Seth: [coughs awkwardly] Um—
Wednesday: Well, I suppose it’s “like” you know nothing because you do know nothing, an outcome of the very intentional choices I have made since first being published.
Seth: Yes, your infamous private persona.
Wednesday: It’s not a persona.
Seth: [looks off-camera for a moment, then down at his desk as if consulting notes] Well, let’s talk being published.
Wednesday: [sighs] Let’s.
Seth: You started writing the first Viper de la Muerte book when you were in middle school, right?
Wednesday: [she takes a long pause punctuated by a scathing look] Yes.
Seth: And still, it took you until your early twenties to get them published. Why is that?
Wednesday: Most publishers are weak-stomached. Apparently, my books contained overt amounts of gore which made them “concerned for my mental state.” If I wasn’t recommended a psychiatrist, I was advised to cut down large portions of my writing in order to preserve the fragile minds of censorship-coddled American man-babies.
Seth: [swallows nervously] And still, when they were published, they were a smash hit with readers all around the world, so I guess the joke’s on them.
Wednesday: [disdainfully] Apparently so. [pause] Sorry, people watch this show?
[about half the audience laughs, like they’re not sure if they’re allowed to. Wednesday looks at them, confused and startled]
Seth: [jokingly] Well, you’re definitely not a suck-up, Wednesday, and I appreciate that.
[whole audience laughs]
