Summary:
The Will of D is feared by the so-called 'Gods' of Mariejois, it is feared by the Nobles too... Those cruel beings who live in their mansions and look down on those they see as lesser. All of them fear the Will of D, but for different reasons... The 'Gods' fear it for those few who can feel the 'Call', so to speak, the ones that 'Shift', more so they fear those that 'Shift' who hear 'The Voice'... They fear what they can do without thought and what their very existence stands for. The World Nobles, the ones who have seen the 'Shift', fear for their lives and would gladly be rid of the Monsters they see as the manifestation of the Will of D.. for they know of Lions, Tigers, and Bears... But those born with the Will of D, they aren't Lions or Tigers and they aren't Bears.. they are Wolves! Wolves as brave and fierce as Lions, as graceful and stealthy as Tigers, and above all as strong as a Bear, and when full grown some were as big as one, others even bigger... Those born with the Will of D (or considered 'Pack' to a D) and wish to 'Shift' aren't normal Wolves by any means...
They are DIREWOLVES!
And what's this about the Will of D 'Gifts'?
What about the rumors that say the late Pirate King's Shifted form could fly..?
(Because it wouldn't work I panicked for a hot second thinking it wouldn't work, here goes...)
Okay, so a few things about this possible story:
1st: This story has A/B/O or Alpha/Beta/Omega Dynamics, it also has Soulmarks (Familial, Platonic, and Romantic), because some Marks are Familial this means (for me) that Ace, Sabo, and Luffy are Soul Brothers and therefore Sabo will have First Shift Markings similar to theirs as if he was biologically related and makes it easy for the three to all be seen as D.'s and make others believe they truly are blood brothers. Soulmarks are however only found among the Wolven (as I'm going to call them since not every Shifted is a born D.) meaning they can find their Mate or Mates in another shifted, an enhanced and even a non-Shifted or non-enhanced. Some could go their entire life never meeting their Mate or Mates... such is the case for those who never Mate, have incomplete bonds due to a deceased Mate, or decide to Marry a non-Wolven, and rarely are Wolven unmated because of rejection. Now when it comes to D.'s who have Shifted whether they are an Alpha or an Omega (either of which a born D. usually is, Shh don't tell) or even a Beta as long as they are seen as the 'Primary Leader' of their Pack until they step-down they are 'Alpha'. Even should they Mate one day, those they choose to call Pack and who in turn truly trust the Pack Leader and WANT to shift fully can. Though other pack mates may decide to only take on enhanced senses instead, usually because they felt they wouldn't be at their best as Wolves but enhanced their senses because it was safer for the Pack as a whole. Ex.'s: Shanks's crew is a Pack as is Luffy’s... Shanks's Pack however is mostly filled with those that have enhanced their senses while Luffy’s Pack is mostly made up of those who have embraced being fully Shifted Wolven, partly because it felt right for them to run with Luffy as a shifted Pack.
2nd: In case you were wondering...
~The temperament of each of the dynamics: Alpha's aren't necessarily aggressive and in charge just like Omega’s aren't immediately subservient and weak-willed baby-making machines. Beta's can be aggressive and submissive since they can shift as well. The unshifted however are also Beta's since they have no Alphan or Omegan scent but are still enhanced and carry the scent of Pack just like the shifted do.
~When it comes to procreation for the Wolven: All Alphas keep their senses during ruts for the most part. Male Alphas can impregnate Female Betas, and Male and Female Omegas while Female Alphas can impregnate all of them during 'heats' only. Male Betas can impregnate Female Betas easily but have some trouble impregnating Female Omegas and are only able to impregnate Male Omegas during strong true heats which are only achieved with bonded Soulmates. Female Betas go through a heat that lasts only 3 or 4 days and keep their senses easily. Omegas can keep their senses during heat when they feel unsafe and even can regain their sense of self if threatened during what began as a safe heat. Safe heats are when an Omega will let themselves fall to instincts and they become especially tactile with Pack and become varying degrees of possessive and overly protective of everything that they view as being theirs. If forced out of 'safe heat' by a threat to them they are usually aggressive and at times emotionally unstable but if the threat is towards their Pack they go into a Berserker-like mode where any threat(s) best beware especially if there are pups in any way involved. During these instances, the Omega is only subconsciously able to keep from attacking their Pack because they carry the scent of Pack and would never attack pups no matter the pups' scent or origin. Omega heats last from 4 to 7 days depending on the Omega and if they become pregnant during the heat.
~Soulmarks: They aren't physically seen until the Wolven meets their Soulmarks recipient(s) and even then they may not be the only Soulbond. In cases where a Soulbond is incomplete, it could be because they met but didn't Mate, because the Mate died before completing the bond, because of rejection, or because there's another bond that makes them incomplete even if the first two consummate their bond. In cases of rejection, the bond with the rejected will fade and eventually disappear, if it's the only bond they may find another to bond with but it wouldn't be a true bond like that of a Soulmark bond, if there are other bonds they then become more prominent in the rejected Wolven's Soulmarks as the rejected bond fades. In cases of broken bonds they usually become as such because one or more of the bonded Soulmates has died, it only becomes broken because the Mates had been bonded and thus the Mate or Mates left behind feel that loss... if there is only the one Mate left then they too will soon pass away, but if there is more than one Mate left then they will comfort each other and eventually heal though they will always feel the loss of their mate or mate(s).
(Unfortunately, this also proves true when it comes to a Mate left behind with a slowly growing pup in her belly... I'm so sorry, but even though she has a pup to live for Rouge won't live to see her pup grow up and that's mainly because I won't change the circumstances of Ace's birth in this. So Rouge will still be passing away shortly after Garp's arrival...)
One last thing... a question:
What Pairings would you like to see in this? Some I might keep despite the outcome but I really wanted to know...
