Find me, captivate me

Summary:

There’s something certainly amusing to Yae about being found by a certain stoic general. Or maybe it’s because she has an ulterior motive for making her chase her, maybe she just wants to captivate her...

Work Text:

Find me, captivate me

The chilly breeze guides her firm steps echoing against the ground as she navigates in between the Sakura trees decorating the landscape before her, halting on her walk to admire the majesty of the oldest one of them.

The tall woman can’t help but inhale deeply their pleasant smell, gazing at the tree in question upon noticing the beauty resting dangerously close to the top of it, on one of its highest branches with her body leaning against its robust trunk in complete calm, captivating Sara with such an unexpected yet lovely sight.

The dark purple haired woman can only stare at her dazed, captivated by the serene expression adorning the priestess’ face as a soft smile plays on her lips much different to her usually sly smirk.

Her breath soon gets taken away as a gust of wind blows, swaying with it the beauty’s long pink locks while the Sakura petals dare to dance around her whispering softly.

Enthralled by this, the general lets her feet carry her closer to the pink haired woman until she’s standing right under the branch the priestess is perched on, admiring her beauty blending perfectly with the majestic Sakura tree all along forgetting completely about the main purpose that brought her to the most remote part of the shrine grounds.

As the wind whispers louder this time, and the Sakura petals flutter around the pink haired woman with more liveliness than before, the stoic general finally remembers her purpose, gasping loudly upon being abruptly pulled out of her reverie, unknowingly eliciting a smirk from the resting woman as the clearing of a throat fills the quiet air.

- Guuji Yae.

She calls the priestess’ name firmly, making the timid smirk on the pink haired woman’s lips widen as she opens her eyes slowly, trapping the general in their mesmerizing deep amethyst color.

- Ara~ general Kujou, what an unexpected visit. Tell me, to what do I owe you this pleasure?

Yae greets her playfully, seeing the stoic general rolling her eyes as a little snort escapes her lips.

- It has come to my knowledge that you’ve been trying to slope off your duties as the Head priestess. Do I have to remind you that you’re the right hand of the Shogun, and she trusts you so you should act according to it?

Sara explains irked by the sly smirk curled on the pink haired woman’s lips.

- But my dear stoic general, it isn’t like that. I was merely taking a break – Yae says as a giggle escapes her lips, having fun upon seeing the tall woman narrowing her eyes at her.

- Guuji Yae, the other priestesses of the shrine have been looking for you around the grounds. But upon not have been able to find you, I offered my time and services in the hope of being able to help them and take you back to fulfill your duties.

- Ara~ such a kind general we have – Yae says playfully, seeing Sara glaring at her while making her giggle once again, before smiling mischievously – Then I guess that now that you have finally found me, you’ll just have to… catch me, don’t you, my dear general?

Yae teases the other woman, seeing a frown appearing on Sara’s confused features upon her words, before she yelps as she sees the pink haired woman letting herself fall from the top of the tree. The general quickly shortens the negligible distance separating them to catch her in her strong arms, ensuring she didn’t get hurt.

The pink haired woman can only smirk widely at this, resting now against the general’s torso and in her strong arms.

- So strong, my general.

She says quietly, her breath colliding with the crook of the other woman’s neck as she nuzzles it briefly and a finger draws a little shape on Sara’s chest, before Yae sadly has to jump off her strong yet shaky hold, not wanting to end on the ground upon trying the general’s patience.

As she stands before the dark purple haired woman, she can’t help but notice the hard yet adorable blush tinting Sara’s cheeks, eliciting a playful giggle from her, before she takes a step closer and leaves a kiss on one of the general’s cheeks, seeing the other woman blushing even harder if possible to then turn around to leave, her mischievous giggles filling the quiet air as the Sakura petals flutter around them.

- I guess it’ll be best to go back and help the rest of the shrine-maidens after my sweet break, don’t you think, my dear general? I cannot fathom wasting more of the time of our precious Inazuma’s general, can I?

She comments playfully, letting out a giggle as she sees the general coming back to her normal self even though her cheeks are still dusted in an adorable shadow of red.

With a wink, Yae begins to walk away and go back to her duties as the Head priestess, hearing the general grumbling grumpily in the distance. A short laugh escapes her lips at how cute Sara can unknowingly be, before she disappears in between the Sakura trees on her way back to the shrine.

But this won’t be the first time the general has to find the other woman after finding out that she ran away from her duties.

The cold wind blowing accompanies Sara on one of her daily patrols through Inazuma’s streets ensuring that everything is in under perfect control, when a tumult of people crowding the streets catches her attention.

Sara sets her jaw tight thinking about a possible dispute or even a robbery, approaching said tumult to quickly arrest the crooks that were part of it and disperse it, when she realizes that some of the people crowding the streets work at the Yae Publishing House.

- Is something the matter?

She asks authoritatively, startling one of the people before her.

- Ah, general Kujou. It’s nothing to worry about, everything is okay.

The man quickly reassures the general as Sara observes how the rest of the workers seem to be searching around for something.

- Then, what is all this commotion about?

- Ah, this…

- Hirayama-san! We can’t find her.

A short raven haired girl our of breath suddenly interrupts the man, making Sara arch an eyebrow at this.

- We apologize for the troubles and commotion caused, general. As you can see, we’re trying to seek out for Lady Yae.

- Why? Did something happen to her?

Sara asks now in alarm, worried that something bad could have happened to the Guuji.

- It’s nothing of importance, general Kujou. You see... Lady Yae just disappeared.

The young girl tells her calmly yet still a bit breathless, confusing the general at the same time as her words doesn’t seem to reassure her in the slightest.

- Disappeared? – Sara repeats clearly confused and even more worried that before.

- There’s no need to be worried or alarmed, general. Lady Yae often disappears and slopes off her duties as the editor-in-chief at the Yae Publishing House, and while is okay and something we grow used by now, today we have a really important meeting with a client and she needs to be present.

The old man sighs out, and Sara can only mirror him, sighing too as she observes the worry on everybody’s features trying to find their chief.

- Well if that’s the case, I’d like to offer my assistance to help you looking for her. Just please, disperse this commotion, it can cause troubles to the rest of passer-by.

- O-of course, general. Thank you for your assistance.

The man quickly thanks her, bowing in respect. The girl, Murata, also bows besides him, before the both of them shoo together the rest of workers to go back to the publishing house and prevent them like that from keep causing any further problem to Inazuma’s citizens with their search.

The general can’t help but let out a heavy sigh as she pinches the bridge of her nose, closing her eyes thinking where the editor-in-chief could be, finding curious how she’s always the one offering her time to find her.

As she thinks about it, Sara soon comes to the conclusion that the pink haired woman obviously wouldn’t be in the streets walking around due to the cold, almost freezing weather, but instead she should be in a warm place. But the question is, where?

Letting out another heavy sigh that comes out as a big puff against the cold air, Sara resumes her walk through Inazuma’s streets and around the Yae Publishing house hoping she can find the editor-in-chief, before she catches a flash of a pink hair inside a nearby restaurant, making her groan as she heads towards it.

- Guuji Yae, are you slopping off your duties once again, and now no less than as the editor-in-chief at the Yae Publishing House?

She reprimands the pink haired woman as she enters the restaurant, looking sharply at her as she catches Yae with a piece of fried tofu halfway her mouth.

- Why, if it isn’t my dear general? Do you happen to also want some fried tofu?

Yae answers slyly, trying to divert Sara’s attention from her yet can only click her tongue as she sees the general narrowing her eyes at her while crossing her arms across her chest clearly unamused by her answer.

Yae can only sigh heavily as she finishes putting the piece of fried tofu in her mouth, savoring it for a brief moment, before turning to the general to talk.

- In my defense, I was merely taking a break and having a snack to recharge my batteries for an important upcoming meeting.

Yae explains slyly after ending eating her "snack", causing Sara to snort and roll her eyes, but this little matter to the editor-in-chief who does nothing but take another piece of her beloved fried tofu, humming in delight as she savors it with no intention or whatsoever of moving from her spot by the table nor stopping eating it.

The tall dark purple haired woman can’t help but sigh heavily, irked by the sly woman’s attitude before her. So with a shake of her head, Sara begins to walk closer to take the editor-in-chief in her arms, making the pink haired woman squeal and hold onto the general tightly as the new piece of fried tofu she just took and was about to eat, falls to the floor.

- My, my, general, to what do I owe this sudden action? Not that I complain, of course.

The Guuji says a bit startled by the general’s sudden action yet delighted to be in her strong arms, letting out a playful giggle as she feels Sara beginning to walk with her in her arms and out of the restaurant.

Yae can’t help but notice the tense and awkward expression on the general’s features the entire walk, prompting her to circle the general’s neck to play with the little hairs at the back of it hoping she can help her to relax, yet she only feels her stiffening under her touch, observing the general looking one way then another to then rush out trying to not be seen by anybody and avoid like that any further embarrassment for the both of them.

- People at the Yae Publishing House have been looking for you for some quite time for said important upcoming meeting, so this is the only way I can ensure them and myself that you’ll be attending it.

The general says firmly, breaking the pregnant silence between them as the light blush tinting her cheeks betrays her, and Yae can’t help but giggle cutely as she snuggles into the tall woman’s strong hold and rests her head on Sara’s shoulder, an amused and delighted smile playing on her lips.

- Why thank you, my little bird. I’m glad to see you’re serious about the well-being of my business.

Yae purrs playfully, drawing circles on the general’s chest now while choosing to ignore the fact that Sara doesn’t trust her enough to be attending said meeting. She observes the adorable expression on the general’s face for a moment, and can’t help but leave a quick kiss on Sara’s cheek who can only blush harder if possible.

- But as I said, I was merely taking a break and snack to recharge my batteries, there’s no need to worry, my sweet general. I can also walk back to my duties on my own, just so you know.

Yae ends up saying, saving the general of more troubles and embarrasement and also of taking part of the precious time from her duties, even though she’s more than delighted to be in her strong arms.

With another kiss on the general’s cheek, closer to the corner of her mouth this time, the pink haired woman jumps off Sara’s strong hold to land on the firm ground.

- I promise you that I’ll attend the meeting, my sweet general.

She promises Sara, and with a wink and another kiss on her cheek, she turns around to walk back to the Yae Publishing House to attend said important meeting and her duties as the editor-in-chief as she promised the general, leaving a quite red blushing general in the middle of Inazuma’s streets with the cold air blowing against her and completely captivated by the editor-in-chief’s cunning and mischievous personality, the touch of her soft lips still lingering on her cheeks.

The third time Sara has to find and actually chase Yae, is in one of her rare days off work while she’s taking a calm walk through the Mt. Yougou’s paths.

The tall woman wraps her haori tighter around her strong frame as she navigates in between the steep paths with the chilly air lashing at her, and despite the inclement weather, she can’t help the soft smile that spreads across her lips as she goes deeper into the forest, admiring the beauty and vibrant colors of the nature surrounding her with the gentle chirping of the birds putting the perfect melody to such a pleasant walk.

Sara can’t help but accompany them, humming lightly along as she rummages for an onigiri inside of her haori, taking it out to carefully unwrap it and begin eating it, savoring its delicious taste.

She actually becomes so engrossed in such a simple delicacy that she fails to hear the light yet quick sound of footsteps approaching her at full speed, before something suddenly jumps over her shoulder and catches her beloved onigiri half-way her mouth, making her take a bite at the air to then notice a flash of pink fur stealing her food before it lands perfectly on the firm ground.

Sara can only blink confused at the sudden action, quickly bringing her hand to the small kunai she hides in her waist holder, when her eyes land on the culprit of such an affront, finding herself staring face to face to the creature in front of her, a small pink furry fox on its two legs with a very distinctive Sakura flower on its forehead and a smug smirk on its lips.

Of course it had to be her, Guuji Yae.

The tall woman thinks to herself, grumbling at the creature in front of her being no other than Inazuma’s priestess and kitsune, Guuji Yae.

She can’t help but exhale heavily, before she hears the small pink fox doing a sound close to a giggle, bringing the onigiri she just stole from her to her mouth with her little paws to then take a bite of it, gloating over her feat.

Sara can only narrow her eyes at her menacingly, hearing the fox giggling once again as if she was provoking her, before the fox puts the remaining of her precious onigiri in her tiny mouth, filling her cheeks with it, before she eats it in one go…

- Guuji Yae…

The kitsune’s name escapes Sara’s lips warningly as the little fox swallows the precious onigiri, grinning upon her little victory to then wink at the general and start running away, her cute giggles filling the quiet forest’s air.

Sara grumbles under her breath at this, before she quickly starts to run after the sly and elusive fox, descending through the steep paths careful to not slip.

- Guuji Yae, come back here!

She warns Yae, and the small fox can’t help but look back at the general, seeing her approaching alarmingly fast to her. Yae is in fact so focused on Sara, that she doesn’t pay any attention to her surroundings nor the ground she’s running through at that moment, causing her to stumble into the huge root of a large tree and end up rolling down the slope and falling right into a small lake.

The small fox lets out a muffled scream, before a loud noise and splash can be heard around.

- Yae!

Sara yells the other woman’s name, stopping by the lake’s shore with evident worry written all over her face as she sees the small fox trying to stay afloat before drowning.

- Yae!

Sara exclaims once again, taking off her haori to quickly dive into the lake’s water, catching the pink fox in her hands to then swim back to the surface, gasping for air as she holds the small creature tightly against her chest before swimming to the shore.

- Are you okay?

She asks the small fox in her hands, looking with concern at the creature as she places it on the ground and Yae begins to sputter water through her mouth and shake it off her fur in vain, shivering out of cold.

The dark purple haired woman can only sigh heavily yet in relief upon seeing the small creature being okay.

As the general sits on the grass to rest and catch her breath, she can’t help but eye the soaked fox in front of her looking rather amusing and runty which elicits a small giggle from her.

- Serves you right – she says with a soft smile on her lips, hearing the fox whining in return as it shivers, and she can’t help but sigh heavily once again, taking her discarded haori from their ground to put it over the small creature in the hope it can help it to keep it warm – Is this better?

She asks softly now, hearing Yae whining once again, before she sees the small fox taking tentative steps to end snuggling against her chest in search of warmth, surprising the stoic general who can’t help but stiffen for a brief moment, before she wraps her haori tighter around the shivering creature, holding the kitsune closer to her as a timid smile draws on her lips.

They stay like that for a while until the small fox stops shivering, pawing the general’s chest to push herself away and look at her in the eyes. Soon, a burst of smoke fills the air and a very beautiful and naked pink haired woman can be seen appearing out of it.

Sara can only gasp shocked at such a sudden action, before she finds herself getting lost in a pair of mesmerizing and twinkling amethyst eyes and tempting plump lips with nothing but a sly smirk adorning them, captivating her. Yae, upon noticing this, can only smirk even wider, before she talks.

- Until you finally said my name, my sweet little bird – she whispers, captivating Sara further who unconsciously circles the kitsune’s waist with her arms to pull Yae closer in a daze. The pink haired woman quickly mirrors her and surrounds Sara’s neck with her arms – Until you finally look at me.

She ends up saying, leaving a caress on Sara’s cheek who keeps being completely dazed and captivated by her breathtaking beauty.

But upon noticing the kitsune’s nakedness, Sara snaps out of her reverie, gasping loudly as she quickly averts her eyes, a furious blush tinting her cheeks.

- I-I apologize, G-Guuji Yae.

Sara stammers embarrassedly, shutting her eyes as she breaks her hold around the other woman’s waist and lets her hands begin to fumble over the ground trying to find her haori to then put it over Yae the best she can with her eyes still closed as a sign of respect. Yae can only giggle at this, letting the general cover her awkwardly with her purple haori while she plays with the little hairs on the back of Sara’s neck in return, making her shiver.

- Ah, you’re truly adorable, my little bird.

Yae coos, enjoying the adorable blush tinting the general’s cheeks, before she takes pity on her and gladly accepts the piece of clothing, wrapping it tightly around her body as she lets herself sink in Sara’s sandalwood soothing scent, inhaling it deeply.

Sara can’t help but bite her lip hesitantly, before she has the courage to open her eyes and look back at the kitsune before her, being captivated by her exotic beauty once again. She can’t help but feel her chest fluttering upon seeing her with nothing but her haori covering her and a fond smile gracing her lips now.

The general blushes coyly at this, before she spreads her wings to wrap the other woman in them.

- I-I wouldn’t want you to catch a cold.

It’s the only thing she can mutter as she wraps Yae tightly in her wings, hearing the other woman laughing wholeheartedly at her words, before leaning to leave a kiss on the corner of her lips, tempting her.

- Ara~ as caring as always, my sweet little bird. I’m really lucky that you always manage to find me, aren’t I?

Yae replies playfully, her eyes twinkling with happiness in them, while the general for her part can only furrow her brow, exhaling deeply.

- Why do you always have to run away?

Sara asks confused as she looks at Yae, seeing her giving her a soft smile as she caresses her cheek.

- Don’t you already know, my caring general? It’s because I like the way you look at me, the way your eyes shine dazzlingly and the way my name escapes from your lips... I like how even if you always seem to be reticent about it, you care enough about me to look for me, to chase me and always find me no matter how difficult it could be... And I honestly like to captivate you…

Yae confesses quietly, her fingers ghosting over Sara’s lips making her breath get caught in her throat at this. The other woman can only think how easy it became for her to find the other woman and get lost admiring her beauty, effectively captivating her.

Sara’s heart beats faster at the mere thought of it as she pulls the other woman closer.

- You don’t need to keep running away to captivate me, Guuji Yae. You have me completely dazed since the first time I saw you.

The general says seriously, causing Yae to be the one blushing deeply this time as a timid but happy smile draws on her lips upon Sara’s enchanting words.

The kitsune then shortens their negligible distance to kiss Sara tenderly, ending like that with their chasing game.
