Work Text:
Jaime walked down the street for a midnight stroll because he couldn't sleep. He had broke up with his toxic ex a few months ago and he was having trouble sleeping since then.
As he was deciding to walk back to his house, suddenly rain started falling and he was forced to run over to a nearby bus stop for shelter.
A few moments later, he saw someone in the rain. They seemed like a man but upon closer inspection he realised they were a woman and somehow he couldn't help but stare. She was enjoying the rain, dancing on her own and laughing without a care. He observed, she had long legs and her body was strong and beautiful. She wasn't pretty, however her eyes sparkled like the galaxy and Jaime found himself enamoured with them.
He knew it was probably creepy, but he couldn't keep his eyes away from her. He approached her, "Hi! "
The woman was startled for a moment and when she decided he wasn't harmful, replied, " Hi! "
" I saw you while I took a shelter and wanted to talk to you. You're gonna catch cold. " The woman laughed, " I don't care! I got my dream job today and I'm the happiest woman right now. I love the season's first rain and love to dance in it. "
Jaime decided he wanted to hear her laugh over and over again. He smiled and they talked while walking aimlessly. Both discovered that they have shared hobbies and interests as well as differences.
The rain stopped and they found a 24 hour pizza joint and Jaime asked, " Hey, you wanna eat something? "
" Yeah! I'm starving. " She nodded and they had pizza and danced to the song playing at the joint and talked some more.
Finally, Jaime offered to walk her home and she agreed. Before his courage wanes, he took her hand in his and she squeezed it rather than pulling away. He heaved a sigh of relief.
They reached her door and he tugged on her hand, " You know, you are the most amazing woman I have ever met and honestly speaking, when I saw you dance so carefree in the rain, I couldn't help but fall for you headfirst. " He ran his hand through his hair, a clear sign on nervousness. The woman's brows were furrowed as if she was contemplating his sincerity.
Finally, an eternity later, she pulled him in and kissed gently, " My name's Brienne and would you like to come in for a coffee? " He flashed a dazzling smile and entered her house with a newfound hope and love.
It was the start of a relationship so rare, that even the Gods were jealous of them.
