Chapter Text
Technoblade remembers growing up, his life was pleasant, and his family even more. He knew he was loved and he knew each family member like the back of his hand, but he also remembered so much more.
He knew of eons of war and blood, decades of kindness falling in a few minutes of cruelty, years of needed silence surrounded by an eternal cacophony of voices.
But most of all he knew of his life cycle. He was only able to be killed by the blade and only able to rest in death for so long.
He had many names but one of them was blood, and as long as bodies were around to bleed he would be there to produce the wounds.
The body he currently possessed of a child with a name he could hardly care for, was the child of one emperor Philza Minecraft a previous ally turned friend he met 26 years ago. Who he had regarded as his father before he had remembered his actual name about 22 minutes and 49 seconds ago.
“Alex! Wake up hon, you need breakfast before you head to school!” Kristen called from downstairs, oh what a day Techno was going to have.
MUMZA!!!!!
MUMZA!
Kristen!
Mother!!!!
Trixten!!!
MUMZA is here lads!!!
Wow go eat loser
“Rip my 19 years without chat, here we go again,” he thought as he looked at his wardrobe for today.
the peculiar thing about waking up one day with extra memories is that you still have the memories of you before you remembered, which meant that all technoblade had to do was fall back onto 15 ish years of routine and hope his charisma would carry him through the She/Her pronouns.
He found a comfortable tunic and one of his favorite skirts (coincidentally the same color as his old cape) and headed down to the castle's dining hall.
“Morning sweetie!” Kristen sang as he walked into the room “Dad is fetching Toms at the moment and Wilbur should be down any minute, coffee with your breakfast?”
Techno combed his brown curls back with his hands and sighed but quickly replied “Yes please, black as usual. Could you also hand me some toast and bacon?”
Kristen hummed back a yes and quickly put together a plate for him, as she handed it to him she looked quizzically at his face for a moment before sighing
“Are you ok? You seem like there is something in your mind, do you—“
A crash was heard as the dining room’s door broke open, and a loud 13-year-old stormed in followed by a laughing brunette
“Mum! Tell Wilbur he can’t keep being a prick! He keeps saying I’m a kid, I’m the biggest man!” She looked up and chuckled before looking back to techno “This isn’t over okay? We will keep talking later.”
She looked up at Tommy “Yes the biggest man, I know I know. Wilbur stop teasing Tommy, me and your sister were having a nice conversation.”
Phil walked in a moment later wings folded neatly behind him. Snagging a piece of toast as he walked to his wife for a kiss, he looked up to Techno with a smile “Hello Alex! How are you this morning mate?”
Techno cringed internally at the name before replying “I’m alright dad, didn’t sleep amazingly but I’m coping. Do you have any major plans for today? I was thinking of taking a mental health day from most of my studies but I haven’t quite decided.”
Wilbur walked up smirking “Wow Alex taking a break from her studies? Something must be terribly wrong for us to not have to drag you away from the university.” He laughed but Phil looked concerned at the statement “Ally sweetheart, are you sure you’re okay? You rarely take breaks just for being tired.”
Techno knew it wouldn’t be easy convincing everyone he was okay while also willingly taking a day off, but hey a god’s got to try right?
“ I promise I’m OK dad, I just had a revelation about myself last night and I need time to process it. I’ll be fine, besides this is all that self-discovery stuff you and Mom keep talking about right? He forced a small chuckle while biting his cheek at the fact he called an elytran who he had an extremely platonic relationship with, his father.
After excusing himself from the table techno walked upstairs, deep in thought of how to explain this to any of his “family”. He cared deeply for all of them, but he always knew his care for his siblings was much more parental than it should have been, his “parents” felt like old friends and now he understood why.
But he knew that Phil would be upset to no longer have his studious daughter replaced with a friend he thought was dead forever.
Because of all the things techno had done and later regretted, the fact that he never told Philza he was immortal is definitely up in the top ten.
Not telling Kristen was top five, so he figured he would tell her first; he knew she would come in in about 12 minutes, so he would have to fess up.
“Time to drop the act of little girl chat”
That sounds so wrong
EEEE
MUMZA!!
Blood for the blood god!
“Not the time Chat, come on.” Technoblade started getting changed, he always kept a bunch of Wilbur’s clothes hidden in his closet for these kinds of occasions, so he put on some altered riding pants and a less fancy tunic. He was braiding his hair when his 12 minutes were up and he heard the infamous knock.
“Alex, can I talk to you for a moment dear?
He sighed, releasing the lie he had been holding over breakfast, voice lower than normal he replied “yea come in”
“Hun, are you okay? You looked so uncomfortable at breakfast, do you need a regen potion or hot water bottle?”
Technoblade laughed “that’s not what this is, can you shut the door?” She nodded and quickly did so before joining him on the bed.
“What is it then?” He took a deep breath and looked up at the ceiling before he began. “ I’m going to need you to listen to me, ok? I don’t want you to interrupt me until I’m done. Do you understand!”
Kristen looked extremely worried but nodded “Of course Ally”
He winced at the name
“ok here goes nothing, I’m not your daughter, technically speaking. I am a reincarnation of a god, yes you raised me and gave birth to me and all that, but so have hundreds of other families. I am Alex but I am also so many other things. I’m older than both you and Philza combined.”
Kristen looked taken aback “Um okay? What should I call you then?”
He smiled at her appreciating the instant belief and trust, he lucked out that he wasn’t much of a trickster growing up. “Techno would be great.”
“Don’t tell me you are the reincarnation of Phil’s best man, who died 12 months before I got pregnant”
“Yep, that’s me, nice to see you again Kristen.”
“Holy shit” she fell back onto the bed, he chortled “No!! My monetization!”
She laughed before falling into silence. After a minute or two she asked “So I don’t have a daughter anymore?”
“You never really did, I always knew, deep down you weren’t more than a close friend to me. I’m sorry”
“It’s not your fault techno.” She was starting to cry “I missed you, it’s nice to know you’re back Tech.”
