Chapter Text

Gregory ran through the halls of the pizza plex, his breathing heavy as he avoided confrontation with the animatronics that were roaming. As he saw that the coast was clear, he ran looking down, eyes closed as he ran faster than he ever before.

That was his mistake though, as he ran, he tripped on his feet and fell towards the ground. The fall felt longer though, as he scraped his arms on.. concrete?

He opened his eyes and saw that he was in an alley. It wasn't the alley he slept in, though. It was completely different. Everything smelt.. old. Cleaner. And didn't smell like metal, pizza, or blood. Scratch that. He could smell hints of blood, but he didn't know where it was coming from.

He looked down and saw his flashlight and fazwatch were completely fine. He tried contacting freddy using the watch.

"Freddy?!" He whisper-yelled, holding his wrist close to his face.

"Freddy, are you there?! Freddy!"

It was no use, though, as Freddy was not responding through his watch.
He started to panic, his breathing getting a bit faster as he didn't know where he was.

'Calm down. I can do it again.' He thought to himself.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out.

He looked behind him to see where he came from, only to see a brick wall with a black line straight through the middle. And as quickly as he saw it, as quickly that line had disappeared. Alright, well, now that it's just a brick wall, he has to go somewhere else. Maybe stay for a day, then figure out how to get back home.

He started treading towards buildings, reading out the names of stores, and hiding whenever he saw any form of life. Eventually, he found a mall! It was big, but not as big as the pizzaplex. He could easily sneak into this mall and figure out what's going on. Everyone in that mall had weird clothing. It looked so old that he knew something was up.

Sneaking around this mall, he would hide between clothing racks and counters. Eventually, he made eye contact with a boy who had brown hair and a bowl cut. The bowl cut boy stared at him curiously.

Gregory shook his head behind the counter and placed a finger on his own mouth, signaling for the boy to keep quiet.

Gregory was grateful that the boy next to Bowl Cut, who had raven hair, tapped him on the shoulder, making him look away from him and getting his attention. He was also so grateful at the fact that bowl-cut did not snitch on him and kept walking, giving Gregory little glances.

He didn't blame bowl-cut for being suspicious of him. He didn't even know where he was. After the teens were gone, he started to crawl in some of the vents to get a good feel around the building. Plus, he was tiny enough, and nobody could ever catch him this way.

Unfortunately, though, he must've jinxed it when thinking that because as soon as his body went above a store that had an open vent, he fell right on the floor.

He was cold, and he definitely made a loud noise because a man with brown hair rushed and was looking down at him, and a girl with blonde-brownish hair was behind him, wide-eyed.

"Okay kid, how the hell did you come from a vent?"

"Steve, you can clearly see he's disoriented. Wait for him to wake up a little."

"Robin, did you lock the door so this kid doesn't run away?"

"Yes, I did. And he won't run away anyways because we caught him, dingus."

Gregory felt a hand help pull him up. Feeling not as dizzy anymore, he figured out that the girls name was Robin and the males name was Steve.

The male, Steve, crouched down a bit to his level and spoke to him.

"Alright, now what were you doing in that vent?"

Gregory stayed silent for a bit. If he just kept quiet, maybe they would go away.

"Mabye, the child hit his head too hard."

Steve looked at Robin with a confused look.

"He didn't hit his head at all. He had the vent cover underneath him."

"Just saying, don't get all defensive on me."

Steve asked another question. "I never saw you in hawkins before. Did you move here?"

"Alright," Steve stopped crouching and stood all the way up. "If you're not gonna answer, then we're gonna have to take you to Hopper."

He didn't know who Hopper was, but he could tell it was some authority figure. He did not do well with authority figures, especially guards.

As Steve began to turn around, Gregory yelled.

"Wait! I'll tell you, please just don't tell anyone. You won't believe me, though."

Steve's head snapped immediately as Gregory shouted, and his eyes widened at the last sentence. Robin gazed curiously at the small child, waiting for him to speak.

"Try me." Steve replied while turning around, looking at Gregory in the eyes.

Gregory, after a moments hesitation, opened his mouth.

"I am not from here. Completely. Everything seems... So old. I think.. I'm in the past, So i think im from the future."
