New House, New Beginning! What's Next? (Hocus)

"God damn, this place is huge!"

Me and Kiwaki walked into my house. Well, 'House', but in Kiwaki's mind, it was closer to a mansion.

I didn't see the appeal. I mean, it was big, but it was mainly very empty.

"Yeah, it is pretty big, I guess. Just lonely." I said.

He wrapped his arm around the back of my neck. "Well, I guess that's changed now, hasn't it? By the way, you sure you're good with me staying here?" He asked.

I chuckled. "Of course I am. I'm just worried, I'm going to have to leave here everyday tomorrow, since I've got college, and all of that." I explained.

He looked at me curiously. "Wait, what college do you go to, anyway?" He asked.

I looked at him. "I think it was... Orange Star University." I said. Kiwaki looked surprised, and then excited. "No Way! You go to Orange Star too? I'm a sophomore over there!" He said.

I leaned into him, excitedly. "You mean... we're going to be in the same college?" I asked. He nodded, and I basically jumped up and down with excitement. "Eeeeek! Oh my god, this is so exciting! I thought I'd be there all alone, but you'll be there too!" I said.

Kiwaki just lightly smiled. Then, he grabbed his bags. "So, where do you want me to put these?"

I stopped. I hadn't really thought about that. I had just been ready to bring him here.

I then had an idea. I closed my eyes, and thought about Kiwaki. What I know about him, all of his ideals, his appearance, everything.

And so, when I opened my eyes, I found myself in a dark, dreamlike cave. It had a couple of people in it. Gohan, Frigid the Arcosian, Organa the Namekian, Android 22, Me, and Aspara the Saiyan.

Then, I saw him. His eyes were closed, but his head was looking down. I walked closer to him, to hear what he was thinking. "Please say that I can put them in her room... please say that I can put them in her room..."

I smirked, and said "You never change, Kiwaki." I closed my eyes again, and brought my mind back to my own body, and opened my eyes again.

"Don't worry, you can just put them in my room." I said, before walking away and winking at him.

He stared, dumbfounded, before waking himself up and walking to my room.

I made my way to the kitchen, and brought myself an apple. I chomped on the red skin, before catching a glimpse of a picture of my parents.

It was a dumb photo anyway. I was 7, or 8, I couldn't remember. What I could remember was why the photo was taken in the first place.

I had just gotten my first mind reading target. I have no idea why, but I was so excited that I was jumping with joy.

My parents were there, too. My mom was there, jumping with me, while my dad was just watching with a big smile on his face.

I sighed, and planted the photo face down. Why do I even have it anymore? It had been, what? One... two years since they died? I couldn't remember anymore.

If I didn't know any better, I probably would have been grieving for them left and right. But I knew, they weren't good people. They were fighting against another Majin family, and they had lost.

I made my way to my room. There, I found Kiwaki getting his stuff out of his bag. I was about to confront him, until he grabbed a copy of his outfit from his bag.

He started taking off his shirt, revealing more scars than I could possibly try and count. Not to mention the many muscles on his back.

He started to turn around, and I dived into the bathroom, and locked the door. "Oh my god, what is wrong with me..." I said to myself, face in my hands.

I loved him, and I was sure that he loved me too, and yet here I am, embarresed to see him without a shirt. What in the hell is wrong with me?

Hopefully he couldn't understand why I did that. I mean, he was pretty dumb, but he was that type of dumb that was also funny. Maybe that's why I hung around him.

I sighed, and stood up. I put my hand on the door knob, and opened it.

Kiwaki looked at me, and thankfully he had a shirt on. "I'm done!" He said. I looked around. Not a lot was changed. Aside from a couple of souvenirs, nothing was really changed.

"Not a big shopper, are you?" I asked. He looked at me sheepishly. "Well, I don't exactly have the money to get stuff." He said.

I smiled. "Well, not anymore." I said. He smiled back, and then gave me a huge hug. Not that I was complaining.

I was just excited for what's to come.
