The Three Devils

Summary:

What if Wei Wuxian had survived the fall? What if a certain nine fingered youth found him? What if a third, wronged and misguided soul joined and they became the three devils?

Notes:

This chapter is really short, I just couldn't get to a good ending in the right way. Anyway, again a new fandom conquered by The_Obnoxious_Writer! Thank you so so so much to my beta readers, they've been so patient with my inconsistent updates and I don't know what I would so without out them.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: New Beginnings

Chapter Text

He wanted to laugh.

He wanted to cry.

He wanted to scream .

How many would be left? The little Wen family were not cultivators, but yet, the sects probably killed them without a second thought.

A- Yuan

Would he be safe? Would they really kill a child? Probably.

Wei Wuxian knew the Great Sects despised him, and part of him knew a siege would happen eventually, just ….he didn't think it would be today..

He also didn't think he would end up alive.

Solemnly looking down at the half amulet in his hand- he had successfully destroyed the other half in hopes of no one getting their hands on it- Wei Wuxian finally felt the extent of his condition.

He felt empty, and he was very tired. Feeling his eyelids start to droop and his body slowly succumb to sleep, Wei Wuxian allowed himself to rest. He would be fine, right? He was hidden in a dark wooded patch, 'safe'.

__________

'Safe' as if.

Wei Wuxian groaned and opened his eyes, the sun was a lot brighter than it was in the woods. But it wasn't the sun, it was candle light. He was in someone else's house!

"Ugh, I thought you would never wake up. They messed you up good huh?" A young voice spoke, sounding as if it was coming closer. The candle was way too close, hurting his eyes and rendering him unable to focus on much.

"Who?" Wei Wuxian questioned harshly.

"The person that saved your ass."

"I think I was safe before you." Wei Wuxian sighed, forcing his eyes back open.

"Oh sure, you totally wouldn't have been found when they did a sweep of the area." The youth scoffed, his tone nothing but sarcastic.

"Sweep?" Wei Wuxian repeated. The youth sighed, "Of course, you think they would just leave after thinking you were dead? They're cocky, not stupid. I'll give em' that."

Wei Wuxian rolled his eyes in response- but after looking over at the stranger, his heart dropped.

The youth was dressed in the LanLing Jin robes.

Wei Wuxian shot up, ignoring how the sudden movement made his vision swim and nausea spike as he shoved the youth away.

The amulet wasn't in his hand anymore..

The stranger blinked a few times, clearly shocked by Wei Wuxians actions. Then he smiled, flashing his sharp canines. "That's not a very good way to say 'thank you'."

"You're from the Jin Clan!?" Wei Wuxian hissed out, "This means.." He scanned his surroundings- this didn't seem to be a Carp Tower room, at least, but the whole situation was leaving him on high alert. This kid most definitely had the amulet and Chengqing for crying out loud!

An insulted look crossed the youth’s face. "Hell no! Well…sort of, it's not like I'm a blood Jin." He paused for a moment, then shrugged. "..Guest disciple.."

"Is that supposed to be better?" He rolled his eyes at the thought,  "Name."

The youth in yellow smiled again, still sitting where he had been pushed. "Xue Yang."
