“Luigi I-” Wendy tried to explain looking down at the dress with tears in her eyes not sad but joy and excitement. Wendy hasn't been the first female Koopaling, she always felt excluded from her brothers and always wondered why. Sneaking into the closets and finding any dress she could find to try on, it made her happy? She never felt this way and always wondered why. God, why couldn't she be like her brothers?
“Is it good? It's okay if you don't like it-” Luigi explained but was cut off by Wendy pushing him into a tight hug. “Thank you, Luigi, thank you so much,” she said Luigi hugged her back after they broke the hug, Wendy admired the beautiful dress the plumber made her. It was a pink dress with white dots to match her now with little puffs at the shoulder and extra poofy at the skirt. Luigi and Wendy got along with Farley well but nobody knew why nobody knew the real reason they got along so well.
Luigi also felt different growing up. He always took what his brother did so he mostly grew up a ‘tomboy’ and was teased by his family because of it everyone except Mario bullied him and he always wondered why he hated his body so much. Why he hated his old name, his body, being called a girl everything he didn't know what the fuck was going on with him. Hell, his brother didn't even know.
He had a panic attack when he was about 17 and cut off all his hair and found the tightest sports bra he could find and finally, he looked in the mirror. Something inside of him clicked and he felt happy.
He looked more into the subject and found the word transgender and he felt completely comfortable and heard once he found his true self. He told Mario and he was overly supportive and helped him come up with a new name and eventually, got top surgery and got testosterone injections he finally felt happy like a piece of him was missing and he found it, almost like a puzzle piece
Wendy felt the same way and Luigi educated her on it and helped her like Mario did with him. It felt nice to help somebody find something unknown about themselves. And of course, bowser was supportive and declared her the first girl koopaling and god, did she feel so much more hope and confidence when she heard that. Sooner or later Luigi and Bowser got together and that made Wendy and Luigi even closer than before and she loved their friendship they could talk forever about the struggles in their lives and relate to each other, they both felt heard and both of them glad they found themselves
“You did amazing Lu, thank you so much for doing something like this for Wendy.” Bowser said holding Luigi close “anything for my daughter” Luigi said resting his head against the koopas chest. Wendy Koopa was their daughter and always will be.
