The Master Diviner knew she was about to board the foxian amicassador's starskiff again, and she was about to be taken on a journey to nowhere, across the artificial, starry night sky of the Luofu.
Fu Xuan could have easily declined Tingyun's offer to be taken back to the Divination Commission, but she decided to hand over the reins of fate for once.
"Ah, it seems that we're lost once more. The Meridian Pin's malfunction has not been fixed yet," Tingyun sighed, looking rather sorry with herself.
"It can't be helped then." Fu Xuan had long settled into a more comfortable position on the starskiff. Not exactly sprawled as though within the privacy of one's chambers, but just enough to maintain an air of authority.
'Give them an inch and they will take a yard.' It is a Xianzhou saying that applied to both businesspeople and certain characters of the foxian race.
In the case of Tingyun, this was doubly so.
"I trust you with my life, if you aren't aware," Fu Xuan suddenly blurted out of nowhere. "Be sure to remain at ease while you pilot the skyskiff. At the moment, we will not be at risk of harm, thus it will not be necessary to make haste. Look, aren't the constellations a sight to behold?"
Tingyun glanced at Fu Xuan for a moment, then giggled softly.
As expected of the all-seeing, all-knowing Master Diviner.
Wonder how long she could stretch their joyride before getting told off again?
