Chapter Text
Being born in the labs of Transigen, I was the first of the children. I was standing there, I looked at the guards. I am 2 years old; others were born about a week or 3 after my birthday. They're teaching me to fight, they don't hug or hold me. I stand there; I am taught to swing a quarterstaff; I would also use a lot of weapons like Billy clubs. They would yell at me when I didn't do it right the first time. After they show me, I am standing there. I punch a bag.
I would do gymnastics or Parkour in an obstacle course. They weren't patient, I was timed on the obstacles; I had to be fast. I have to fight men who are bigger than me. One of the women, she would clean up my cuts and bruises. They made me fight guards. If I did it and beat him, I am given a treat. They're watching me, I was throwing knives and I learned other languages. I learned to build-repair tech like speakers and computers. They would check them.
They would hold my head under water, I was told to hold my breath. They put me in handcuffs, they would tell me to get out of them. I learn to dislocate both of my thumbs, they taught me to pick locks on doors, they taught me to hack into computers. I am good I learn to hack; I was told to take down a person trying to expose them. I stand there, I was given a tablet and MP3 player. I am silent as they watch me, I kneel on the floor. I rebuild the drone.
They would torture me with electric shocks, and they would hold my head underwater longer. They beat me to teach me to accept pain. I was fighting and I would run on a treadmill. They’ve me wear a watch that tracks my vitals. They're working me over they waterboard me, they beat me. Then I am at the limit of my endurance, they stop and leave me alone. The doctor told them to give me ice cream, they let me rest a few days. I had done well in training.
