As Kirishima looked out across the water, he tried to explain to the friends he made while being held captive. How do you explain the complexity of an arranged marriage with someone you’ve known since birth? The growth each of them had to go through. And then…the disappointment that was their last meeting.
“I know when I talk about our last meeting it sounds bad, but I knew he would fix himself and come to me.” But while he spoke his friends just looked at him in disbelief. “Guys, listen…
“If I could break the spell, I’d run to him today! And somehow, I know he's on his way. Cause Bakugou? He and I were meant to be. Far longer than forever I'll hold him in my heart. It's almost like he’s here with me although we're far apart.” Inside Kirishima was just this inexplicable feeling that no matter where they were Bakugou and him would be together. His friends couldn’t truly understand. As sophisticated as the turtle Sero was he had never met his true love. And while Denki the frog was romantic to a fault, he didn’t understand the longing to be with the one you’ve known your whole life. And Mina the puffin was as supportive as anyone could ask but still none of them were getting the connection he was trying to explain. But little did Kirishima know that far away from him his love was struggling to say the same thing.
“Mina. None of you extras could get it, it's like…Kirishima and I are as constant as a star. Whenever I close my eyes I’m where he is and as sure as the dawn brings the sunrise we have an unshakeable bond.” Mina was just shocked. After the attack and disappearance of Prince Kirishima her friend hadn’t spoken except about how much he needed to practice defeating the great beast. Surprisingly after a nudge from Mina Bakugou continued. “It's just, that we’re meant to last a lifetime and beyond, I can feel it!” he couldn’t help but hold his hand to his heart as he continued. “Far longer than forever, he’s like no love I’d ever known or read and with him, I’ll never be alone.” His eyes clouded over as he remembered all the fights they got into, but also the peaceful winters and summers spent as they each grew into themselves.
As though attached by an invisible string Kirishima joins Bakugou in explaining, “I don’t know how else to explain it he’s the one that I’d go with beyond forever, far longer than forever. With him by my side, there is a love like none ever known and with one another we’d never be alone.” And despite being separated by miles and miles the two shared a single tear sliding down their face as they thought about the love they had been separated from. But they knew that no person or obstacle would stand in their way and they would find their way to one another sooner or later.
