"Hey Cory, look at this" Crystal comes with an old DVD, along with Ruby.
"And... It's that a new SCP or...?" Cory looks at the disk, it is really old and it has a very blurry inscription in marker on it.
"What? No! It's just a regular DVD, probably" Crystal stares at the disk for a second "I don't know, Ruby found it next to her anime DVD collection."
"I still don't understand how it ended there," Ruby says, taking the DVD to give it to Cory "Do you have a DVD Player? Mine is too old to work and Crystal's is broken"
Cory looks at the inscription on the disk, the letters are barely noticeable and it seems to be scratched on both sides. But, somehow, Cory found his way to read it.
"Oh, this is a classic!" Cory seems excited "If I remember well it must be 'Mutant Viruses And Big Reptiles In America', a fictional horror movie from the 70's, one of my favorites"
"Cory, you weren't born in the 70's" Crystal replies.
"Yeah I know, but Uni and I used to watch it a lot then, it was so old and cheap that it wasn't considered like 'real horror' so we watched it together all the time" Cory smiles softly when he remembers the old times, easier times.
"Uni?" Ruby asks gently, trying to not interrupt Cory from his reverie
"Yeah, he always told me it was a 'trashy movie' and it was 'damaging his neural function', but he always let me choose it when it was my turn" Cory laughs a bit "He only banned it when I started to base my whole personality in it, he really hated that stage of my life-"
"Who is Uni?" Crystal finally asks.
Cory feels his heart stopping, the air leaves his lungs, and everything is silent now; he looks up to see the two girls in front of him. Ruby and Crystal are waiting for an answer.
Yes, an answer, Who is Uni? His childhood friend, his best friend, his brother, his classmate.
Who was Uni? Because neither Crystal nor Ruby will know, not like Cory did, maybe not at all.
Uni is now a history Cory will tell, a good memory to remember, a reminder that he was loved.
Uni is nobody for the foundation he died in, but it was everything to Cory.
But who is Uni now?
"I need fresh air" Cory walks away, leaving Crystal and Ruby with more questions.
