lollipop

Summary:

Laffitte glances at you from the corner of his eye, the smile on his face twitching ever so slightly - if you weren’t paying attention, you probably wouldn’t have even noticed such a small movement. But you do, and Laffitte knows that you’ve noticed his reaction.

Notes:

for context: oc was kidnapped by bb's crew for the sake of a forced marriage. shenanigans ensue

this is super self indulgent LOL

Work Text:

It’s only been a day since you’ve been taken captive aboard the Saber of Xebec but with how things have been, it feels like it’s been weeks.

You were currently out on the deck with two of Blackbeard’s inner circle - the Demon Sheriff Laffitte and Supersonic Van Augur. Both had been tasked to “guard” you - Augur more than Laffitte - but to be honest, you didn’t want either men even remotely near you.

The two of them had been arguing almost nonstop today. When they had first been assigned to stay by your side, at least they seemed friendly towards one another. You’re not quite sure what changed since then, but you didn’t want to be caught in the midst of their little war.

The bickering had only gotten worse after Augur had accidentally brushed up against you. The lingering touch of his extremely large hand against your bare thigh was still tingling against your skin, but that was immediately canceled out by what was to follow.

Laffitte glances at you from the corner of his eye, the smile on his face twitching ever so slightly - if you weren’t paying attention, you probably wouldn’t have even noticed such a small movement. But you do, and Laffitte knows that you’ve noticed his reaction.

You turn your head to face him, your lips parting as if you were about to ask him a particular question, (maybe something along the lines of “is something wrong?”) but before you can even think to ask, there’s a sweet taste against your tongue that’s hard to ignore. You hadn’t even seen him do it, but Laffitte is holding a lollipop, pressing it flat against your tongue. His gaze is intense, but his smile is still there despite it all.

Your lips close around the candy as Laffitte retracts his hand, letting it fall back to his side as he tears his gaze away from you to look back at Augur, who hasn’t once changed expressions.

“Was that necessary?” He asks, gaze shifting between you and his crewmate.

“Perhaps it wasn’t, but dolls aren’t made for talking now are they?” Laffitte’s eyes close as his smile widens, the wrinkles on his face growing ever more present.

You go to take the lollipop out of your mouth so you can retort but his free hand comes up to stop you, fingers expertly taking hold of the stick and pushing the candied treat back into your mouth without a word. He didn’t even have to open his eyes, it was as if he just sensed what you were about to do.

“As I said, pretty little dolls are for looks, not conversation.”

You feel almost offended that you’re being treated this way, but you suppose that it’s better than... anything else that he probably would try to do. You’re lucky (or unlucky?) enough that Blackbeard made rules regarding your safekeeping, which meant Laffitte ultimately had to keep his sadistic tendencies at a 0. You know he’d love to break you if he was given the opportunity.

“Ah. You’re objectifying them.” Augur’s monotone voice snaps you from your thoughts and you look up at him. He gets what Laffitte is doing, and you can see that slight twitch again as Laffitte opens his eyes to look at Augur as well.

“I don’t believe that’s any of your business, now is it, Vanny?” There’s a semi-shrill tone in his voice now. You can tell that Augur is starting to get under his skin, just how he usually gets under Augur’s. You don’t quite understand their weird little rivalry-crewmate friendship (allyship?) that they’ve got going on, but you frankly don’t care enough to launch into a deepdive regarding whatever it is. Your captain will be here soon enough to rescue you and then you’ll never have to deal with these freaks again.

You hope.

“Given you chose to do this right in front of me, yes, Laffy, I suppose it is actually my business,” Augur responds, tapping his rifle against his shoulder. You wonder if he ever thinks about shooting Laffitte. “So knock it off.”

Laffitte pouts. “Awh, now the admiral said we couldn’t physically harm them, but he never said anything about having some fun with them.”

“You’re a sickened individual.”

The arguing persists and you let out a deep sigh, leaning back against the side of the ship as you stare out into the open sea. You really don’t want to have to keep listening to this, but Laffitte had you latched up tight. Maybe you could learn how to pick a lock during your stay here. That would come in handy.

“They’re not even paying any attention,” Augur nearly shouts- it’s a sound you’re not used to hearing and it almost scares you from how sudden it was.

Laffitte scoffs before grabbing your face and turning it so that you’re looking up at him once again. His hold on you is rough, but the way he grabs the lollipop from your mouth is even rougher.

“Shut up, Augur.”

The man presses the candy against your lips again, leaning in close as if to study your every moment, every flicker of fear in your eyes. The intensity in his gaze has returned once again as he slowly pushes the lollipop past your lips, his own tongue darting out to lick at his bottom lip as he does so.

You’re almost entranced by what he’s doing, just letting him push and pull the lollipop past your lips, watching how your tongue cradles the underside of the candy and how your lips are getting all sticky and-

“Stop,” Augur snaps, his voice coming out in an uncharacteristic growl as he pulls Laffitte back by the shoulder, away from you. “You’re making it weird. They are not here for your amusement.”

“Ah, how forgetful of me! I do suppose you are right.”

A part of you feels relief course through your veins as Laffitte smiles at Augur, all of his attention taken away from you as he once again focuses on his crewmate. But then the two start arguing again and the rest of you feels dread.

You lean your head back against the railing. You don’t know how much more of this you can take.
