i like to think rather alhaitham is touch starved, saying this, on kavehs break days alhaitham awards his hard work (he just wants affection) with much love and physical affection. from cuddling to kissing his entire (/m) body to even making out, kaveh lets himself melt into the care of alhaitham.

on alhaithams break days or when hes stressed, kaveh wraps his arms around him, with a blanket on them, and they just relax with either a peaceful silence or idle chit chat about work life, gossip, anything to get alhaithams mind off his stress.

alhaitham remembers to have constant breaks, kaveh, however, does not. kaveh has asked alhaitham to give him daily reminders to do things such as eat, sleep, drink water, have a break.. because even kaveh gets too focused on his woro and forgets about basic living necessities (dont we all) and, given alhaitham tries his best to remember in the day, he'll come into kavehs room at 3am when he's hammering away to remind him to sleep, kaveh sees the time and conversation goes as following

theres been nights where alhaitham had to cradle him and just caress him. kaveh has a lot of self hatred and he tries to make up for that via looks

during akedemiya days he was probably the pretty boy of the school, known for being toyed with because his looks.. people liked him because his looks and thats all he cared about, kinda. he tried to be so nice until people just trampled all over him.. now, when he feels he isnt enough, alhaitham constantly reminds him how he is enough and how alhaitham and his friends will always love him unconditionally

kaveh LOVES drawing alhaitham. his facial structure, body build, hair, muscular arms, the chest gem, posture.. alhaitham is a very refined man. blunt he may be, his body movements have an air of grace or careful sense to it. especially around cats and animals. cats he strokes so softly, amiss to his cold facade and stiff facial expression; replaced with one of serenity and bliss.

kaveh, when he's working on a commission and sends letters to alhaitham, sprays his perfume on the letter; scenting the letter. its a personal touch he does. he wears his ring proudly, embedded with green stone. alhaitham enjoys receiving his letters as they have bits and pieces on it. dried flowers of the area, a photo of him, a sketch of alhaitham/his room.. something.

alhaithams mother taught him how to braid her hair. he enjoys braiding strands of his own.. and kavehs. when kaveh is crying or post-crying, he'll softly brush his fingers through kavehs hair to try calm him down and it works! kaveh heavily enjoys having his hair played with and braided, he puts alot of work into his appearance and body. alhaitham appreciates every part of that - caressing him when he can, complimenting him, PDA and braiding his hair/styling it for him. kaveh thinks he looks his best with alhaitham, and alhaitham thinks he is his best with kaveh.

for flexibilty, they have a date night either Friday-Sunday, and they wont force it on eachother either
the activies range from board games, ranting about topics, eating good food with wine, showering and pampering eachother, exploring eachothers bodies, kink exploration, hair braiding/styling, dressing eachother up, movie nights, cooking nights or gaming together
the day before they decide, though it can be changed, and buy anything needed. the morning after they always shower together in the morning and look after kavehs plants together.

when kaveh and alhaitham had sleepovers, kaveh would usually comfort alhaitham because alhaitham asked kaveh to come over, this is when he overthinks about his grandmother and stuff or everythings too much and he breaks down. kaveh provides words of comfort and some physical comfort, whilst also being an anchor for alhaitham.
they are both eachothers anchor in some way or another.
nights after kaveh is comforted by alhaitham, he cant stand to look him in the eye out of embarrassment and shame. alhaitham checks up on kaveh every 2hrs at night to try croon him to sleep or comfort him, if he's awake that is. if hes locked in his room he knocks on the door once or twice and if he doesnt get a response, he understands kaveh wants to be left alone.
alhaitham encouages communication though being bad at it, but he tries and so does kaveh. their relationship is very stable because of this.

the books are some on plant identification, meal making, plant history, architecture, rishboland tigers, life out of sumeru (Inazuma, Liyue, Mondstat, Fontaine etc) and the history of them. some are kept in alhaithams room because he ran out of space in his.
i believe kavehs room is filled with plants and rocks and such, think of howls room from Howls Moving Castle, that, that is similar to what i envision kavehs room to be but on a smaller level. his writing desk-area is rather clean though, the desk itself having plastic boxes stacked with references, past drawings, WIPs, sketches, finished drawings and multiple art forms scattered around in it, like those plastic drawers that fit on desks. his alhaitham sketches are pinned on a corkboard by the desk, he cherishes these drawings. at least 2 are coloured, little dried flowers that match alhaitham (probably daises, to my knowledge) are stuck to some of the art, adorning it. in another sense you could say he uses flowers to frame alhaithams beauty.

kaveh has some books. alhaitham takes him to the library (or whatever its called) in sumeru and kaveh helps him look for books on interests and hyperfixations. they both have a book and just cuddle while sitting next to eachother kinda way. the library sees them as regulars now, well alhaitham always was but kaveh never went.. until alhaitham started to take him. alhaitham never took anybody with him before, the last person was his grandma - this means the person he takes is truly special and cared for in his heart, making kaveh that person.

alhaitham probably took up like, making clay things. small things. tiny.
he's made kaveh a lion-head key bowl, the ironic joke of losing his keys. he's probably made little low quality clay figures of kaveh and himself, they keep eachother in their rooms by the windows (kaveh put alhaithams clay figure by the plants and flowers by his window, and alhaitham put his by some pictures and a small pot of flowers he got from kaveh.)

when kaveh was still in school with alhaitham, they would eat together at benches. sometimes alhaitham would fall asleep. kaveh took this time to (admire) practice anatomy and draw alhaitham. he's come to love his hooked nose and ahoge in his hair, sometimes alhaitham would lean on him and he'd stroke his hair. when it was kaveh who fell asleep, he would end up nuzzling against alhaitham. when he woke up he would basically ignore that, because they were just friends - right? (ofc theyre not wtf). when kaveh was asleep, he occasionally slept talk. alhaitham was more verbal when he sleep talked because kaveh couldnt hear him.. and he was more comfortable like that.

kaveh has PROBABLY gone into depression at one point. bitch was found at a pub, alone, drunk as hell, homeless, how can he not be depressed? (unless the fandom babyifies him with they do 🔥🔥) and when he first moved in with alhaitham he was probably in hella denial. “how am i living with the man i argued with?” - saying that, he probably locked himself in his room for a good few days. alhaitham had to almost break the door down to get to him, he was teary eyed and ill. it took him 2 weeks to finally accept the fact that he's rooming w/ alhaitham now. alhaitham had to help him eat, daily necessities etc. they dont talk about this because its a very dark time in kavehs life. alhaitham still worries for kaveh when he's hung on a project and is locked up in his room for 2 days or more, alhaitham will try check in but usually gets brushed off by kaveh. this worries him further. kaveh is aware of this, and tries to reassure alhaitham - but deep down he knows he's not okay. he doesnt want to admit it and probably never will. every now and then he begins to come to terms to it, and breaks down. alhaitham helps as much as he can and sticks by his side for all of it. i like to think that there have been times where alhaitham is sitting outside kavehs room, with warm soup, and is just camping there, trying to bribe him out of his room. this can occur when kaveh feels toovulnerable to be seen, scared that alhaitham will fear his state and push him away or after an argument between the two.
or
once he was in the house again, he couldnt look alhaitham in the eye. if he did, all he could think about was the fight and how he’s living in the house of someone he “hated”, but he soon came around it when alhaitham talked him out of that mindset.
