Summary:
Till tender is far too fierce for us, winter is almost here for us. Or: two boys from Brooklyn and how they gave up their personhood. One to be turned into a propaganda piece, and the other into a weapon.
But before they were tools belonging to sprawling superpowers, they belonged to eachother.

This vid originally started life in 2016, after I watched CA:CW, and was meant to be a side-by-side comparison study of Bucky and Steve, and took a ton of turns along the way. I started this with the HD version of the first two movies and a Cap 3 camrip, with the intention to replace the camrip once the DVD came out - but in the time between, I got so mad at Civil War and the fandom in general I dropped the MCU wholly.
Eventually I decided to forge on and just complete it before I just dump the franchise for good. Then my computer crashed - but I restored it, along with all the files! But by that time I’d gotten stuck, and bored, and decided to wait for Infinity War and Endgame - which was the wrong decision because I got secondhand shockwaves about Steve’s ending in Endgame and got so angry at the MCU again that I lost interest. Fandom!
Then, years later, I fell back down the timewarp wormhole and finally posted the very rough draft to a discord which ended up with me getting gently peer-pressured into finishing it.

This is usually where I'd say something like “come yell at me on tumblr about them!” but every conversation I've had about this ship in the past 4-6months has just ended in an MCU bitchfest session about the dogshit that was Endgame. But still, feel free to drop by!
